If we had the playoff this year is it fair to say that it would be?

#1 FSU vs #4 Baylor
#2 Auburn vs #3 Alabama

its where they're ranked at the end not who they've played/lost to. bama would be in, FSU, AU, and...i guess baylor

It's going to be crap like that every season, with teams moving back into the top 4 via not playing, like Alabama, or receiving one fortunate result after another, like Baylor.

The SEC will benefit more than anybody. You'll see teams losing the SEC title game but not paying for it at all since they'll remain in the top 4.

Not looking forward to it. It's going to be an annual debate over who is more deserving, a two loss team that finished well or a one loss team that faltered late.
