Serious question... if I am someone like JoJo or Lightfoot, what keeps me from entering the portal in the next 5 days?

Do you trust mario to bring in another top qb and also a DC?

Do you wait til spring?

Do you believe enough in the process to blindly stay?

Is money enough?

Without any first hand knowledge, I would say NIL and for those that it applies to, staying local. I would also be much more concerned about someone like Scott more so than Lightfoot. Lightfoot looks rail thin still and has no tape.

Same reason JoJo stayed commited last year when all we had was TVD and Emory

I know you were. I doubt they actually go into the season with Emory or LG. The test will be if they trust Mario to fix this quick enough. They could wait and portal in the spring but who knows. I’m sure retaining players got much more expensive over the last 6 weeks and Mario can blame himself for that.
