Whenever a team, our team, any team loses big the same conclusion is always drawn....the players didn't show up. They didn't care. They didn't try. Weren't motivated.

Wrong.

That's not always the case. Sometimes they do show up, they were motivated, they did try and they got their asses kicked anyway. That's what happened against Louisville. These guys hadn't played in a bowl game in a couple years. They were bouncing around, talkin smack before the game. They were hitting hard on defense, even stuffing the run. They wanted to win but they were failed by their coaching staff. They weren't properly prepared.

Did they quit? Yeah they quit and I can't really get mad about that. Nothing and I mean nothing is more demoralizing than showing up, trying your best and still getting your *** kicked. Bowl game against Arizona in 93, that team didn't care, didn't try. This game was not that.

I'm over the loss. There are too many variables for a team to lose like that. Maybe it was some of the seniors thought it was the last game they'll play in their life, coaches suck, wasn't worth trying on a crappy bowl game, no interest etc. all I ask is for some change in the coaching staff and a top 3 class

It didn't matter if we came out prepared, unprepared, or overprepared...we played a much better team and the final score should have been expected results. Best QB in the nation surrounded by a more than capable cast of characters featuring a ton of SoFla playmakers and one of the best defenses in the country in all phases. Also, one of the best coaches in the country. People may have overthought the idea that Louisville played a schedule full of trash outside of UCF and thought there was a ***** in the armor...unfortunately, that was not the case.

I have no doubt this team showed up, but quickly realized they were out-everythinged and tapped out.

I agree with this post, for the most part. The players are also not very good, so them showing up doesn't propel them to those kind of results anyway. Average talent and one of the worst coaching jobs I've seen in a while.

They might have showed up with some false bravado. But when the chips got down a little they noticeably quit. If you didn't see us quit, then you weren't paying attention.

Losing has become too easy to stomach with this program, and that all starts at the top with the HC. He carries on like he won the Super Bowl when we beat **** teams, and he takes a casual approach littered with excuses when we lose.

You see how his appointed captain, Morris, reacts after losses? That's Al's motherfcking CHOSEN captain. And he's munching on Snickers after getting drubbed by **** teams saying **** like "a loss is a loss". During the Loserville game, it didn't look like he gave a flying fck. Captain.

This team didn't show up because it takes dominate players set the tone. We have 1 dominate player and his name is Duke Johnson. He makes big plays that galvanize his team. He is feisty, plays with emotion and passion. In the games he didn't play team looked like they could give a ****. None of our defense players are dominate enough to have this same effect (maybe due to scheme, maybe lack of high-end talent, maybe a little of both) the defense looks lethargic.

The problem is that most of the time the team takes on the identity of the QB. SteMo is a horrible leader. He rarely looked interested in the games this year. The only time he was fired up was when he was yelling at his Wr and blaming the Oline. After the FSU loss he mailed it in. When we lost to VaTech he was all smiles, lost to Duke all smiles, killed by LVille all smiles. Guy is a natural born loser who doesn't care about winning. he'll get his money for a few years in the NFL and promptly get the GM who drafts him fired. He has Jon Beck written all over him.

I saw more fire from Duke, injured and on the sideline, then I saw from anyone on that offense.

The defense played hard for a half. I don't fault them nearly as much on this occasion.

And whose fault is that for starting that loser? Golden stuck by him no matter the injury no matter the results. Not saying Williams would have been better, but Golden handled the whole Morris situation as ****** as a coach could. Morris felt entitled and at no point felt his job was on the line. He gave zero ***** and his HC who should have benched his *** never did. Blame Golden for not making the change. Morris is just a two bit loser that takes on the personality of his coach.

I agree Golden stuck with this class. Ride or Die and they died. After the UNC game it was clear that Morris knew no matter how poorly he played he wasn't going to get benched.
