Phantom pass interference call

it was ticky-tacky but Brown has to do a better job on that play of looking like he is trying to run a route. If the ref thinks you are just going toward a WR to knock him and impede him from defending then even if it is a tiny touch they will be tempted to throw the flag on a play like that.
It is unfortunate but the way it is.

it is not just that call. on that last drive Horton catches a pass and would have been 2nd and 5 and two cal players just lay on him to try to help the clock run down. To get up Horton has to shove one of them down with his legs so he can get up. They call an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Horton and Miami now has to convert a 3rd and 20. Without Ward these two calls would have cost Miami this game and nobody will even mention the two calls.

I hear you he needs to sell it and pretend to run a route but he hardly touched the guy. The officiating is awful but F the haters they just wanna see us lose. No one had any smoke for the refs in the GA Tech game last year, haters can eat a Frank!

I don’t think it’s no coincidence that the refs for the ACC got incredibly “worse” when sports betting became widely legal.
