41. 2014 ATH Travis Rudolph (Cardinal Newman)
The Miami commit has put up great numbers in his first 2 years of high school. He isn't the most explosive athlete, but he makes plays. Can play both sides of the ball, most likely a corner at Miami.

42. 2013 RB Daryl Chestnut (Columbus)
Chestnut is an explosive, quick athlete. He can catch the ball out of the backfield, run between the tackles, and bust it outside. I think he will be a very productive player in college. Grows on you the more you watch him.

43. 2014 CB Al Harris, Jr. (St. Thomas Aquinas)
The bloodlines are here, as well as the cover skills. He has to bulk up some, but he is very technically sound. We will hear his name a lot this year.

44. 2013 QB Akeem Jones (Carol City)
Jones has good arm strength and athleticism, I think he will be very good at the next level in the right system.

45. 2013 RB Lorenzo Woodley (Columbus)
One of four Columbus players on this list, Woodley has elite size (6'1, 215) and good athleticism. Has a high ceiling when he works on the nuances of the position. USF and South Carolina are on his trail.

46. 2015 QB Tucker Beirne (Columbus)
The Colorado transfer has not played a game in South Florida yet, but has all the goods to belong on this list. He has linebacker size (6'2, 215) along with good athleticism and arm strength. Playing at Columbus, we will hear his name a lot over the next 3 years.

47. 2014 CB Trumaine Washington (Killian)
The 5'9 corner is a playmaker. He has good athleticism and is always around the ball. Started at Columbus last year and performed very well at the Al Golden Football camp. He is already on the staff's radar and a big season gives him a good chance at an offer.

48. 2014 LB Frank Newman (Southridge)
Newman is a hard hitter with good size and a good frame (6'1, 210). He holds an FSU offer early on. He likes Miami a lot. I could see the Canes offering. Aggressive player.

49. 2013 LB/S Wendell Dunn (Palmetto)
Dunn is a versatile prospect who is big enough to play linebacker and has just enough athleticism to slide back to safety. He will probably play some type of hybrid role at the next level. You will hear his name more during the season.

50. 2013 CB Xavier Hines (Belen)
The CB from Belen has good size (6'0, 175) and long arms. He has had good production at the high school level and will be a good get for somebody. FIU is a possible destination.

as a packer fan I will say I do not want Al harris jr. His dad was the most overated corner ever, got smoked by a one legged Randy Moss repeatedly.

Travis Rudolph looks legit.:neonu:

I agree with Chestnut over Woodley. Chestnut has much better feet. Woodley, while fast, is too straight-linish and doesn't run with the power his size would suggest.

Nice to see someone from my alma mater on the list. When Belen played Columbus last year, Xavier Hines made more plays than Deon Bush did.

Pete,

Quick suggestion: possibly title this the Peter Ariz South Florida Top 50.

At least Al Harris pick 6'ed Hasselbeck when he took the coin toss in OT and said, "We want the ball and we're gonna score!" That was classic. Besides, if he has talent like his dad he'll be fine at the college level.

1. Judging a kid by what his dad in the NFL is just unfair

2. Randy Moss torched **** near every corner in the league not just Al Harris

My hatred for his dad runs many generations.....and Randy torched the supposed all pro Al Harris on one leg. Dude could barely stand and Al was gettin burnt in the playoffs. Not to mention he lives like 5 mins from me....

Awesome Job Pete.

For all the 2014 Recruits can you make a short note on their interest level of Miami and Miami's interest level in them.

I saw some players had it and some didn't.

Thanks

Yea I'll put that in

Akeem Jones reminded me of Teddy Bridgewater. He throws darts in that video. He seems to have decided where he's going with the ball pre-snap because he once the ball hits his hand he lets it fly. Guessing we will not recruit him as a QB because of the system he's playing in, but he is a good looking prospect for teams that play out of the shotgun.
