Okay, I hoped that we were ready
We are not
The top 25, KSUs of the world are ahead of us
And I suspect we won't be on par for a bit

Butch inherited a much more talented team with depth, but purged the roster and rebuilt over five years
Why do we suspect that golden will be quicker. Because of temple, the ever growing legend of southern Florida high school football players?

The next three games will tell us more about our standing in the ACC
And a realistic view of our season
1-2 and we may be the four win team the pundits called for
2-1 and we a low tier bowl
3-0 and the moaning and groaning stops until we play the brutal mid season schedule

I suspect two wins, but three is realistic
Before we jumped or fly fire golden planes over stadiums, let's show some patience and stand with our players and coaches

No joke any team worth a **** is going to come out and beat BCC by 50.

This is the first time most of this team has been embarrassed. They should be ****ed off and want to do something about it.

We will see.

This game seemed meaningless at the start of the year but actually might say a lot about the team.
 
The Georgia Tech game is crucial.

It'd be huge to win that game. Sitting at 3-1 coming back home would give us momentum going into the NC State game.
 
We should beat Bethune and NC State. Should. Georgia Tech might roll us.

Thats 3-2 going into Notre Dame. Kelly is gonna roll Golden no problem. So going into FSU we are staring at 3-3. At best.

Jekyll and Hyde team. It should not surprise anyone that we are 2-3 coming out of that stretch or 4-1. I just want to see some improvement all the way around (scheme, personnel, effort). I dont care how bad we lose I just want to see improvement.

I think you mean "1 win should be expected. Two should be a celebration." This three win stuff LOL.

NC State beat UConn 10-7 yesterday. U Conn turned the ball over 4 times to NC State's 1 and still only lost by 3 while holding them to 10 points.

Anyone believe we hold NC State to 10 points?

Wait and see what Glennon and NC State do to us in Sun Life on Sept 29th.

Glennon was 15-30 for 204 vs U Conn. Over and under for Glennon throwing for over 350 yards at a 75% clip vs us?

But U Conn does have a lot of talent on their team. They have been on par with Bama and USC as far as recruiting is concerned so I shouldn't be surprised they held NC State to such pedestrian numbers. I wish UM had U Conn's talent, then we would be on to something. Perhaps one day we will be able to achieve the feat of being on the same level as a U Conn or Louisiana Lafayette (beat #8 Arkansas/oh yeah on the road as well, go figure).
 
Actually JHallCanes I wouldn't be that impressed simply because we should yawn our way to a 50 point win over BCC. It would be really deflating to see them get hyped for that game and then lay an egg against Ga Tech - in conference/peer competition. I actually think our offense will be ok. I've said all along that I love Kehoe as a Cane, but not as our OL coach. Still hoping he proves me wrong because we can't claim those guys are not big enough or not athletic enough. However, I'm really worried about our defense. SW Missouri gave KSU a better showing than we did. They were in that game until the fourth quarter.
