First and foremost, I'm truly hoping Ryan Williams or KOlsen will step up to be the field-general we need to move this thing forward.

Banking on Episode VI ("Return of the Jedi") from 8-Ball, Duke Johnson. Phillip Dorsett too. Also, will need Stacy Coley to keep doin' his thing @WR, KR, PR.

Denzel coming back, he gets the nod for Defensive MonStar. Combined w/ our DB's and some new-comers *Cough Cough* Chad Thomas, I expect some serious, consistent playmaking.

Will miss:
-Allen Hurns, Mo Hagens, Pat O'Donnell

Will not miss:
-Stephen Morris ("leadership")
-AJ Highsmith ("playmaking")
-Kacy Rodgers (other than 1 sack, 1FF, & 1 Int. --All stats went down from 2012)

Pos. Upgrades (Incoming vs. Outgoing):
-Brad Kaaya, Joe Yearby, All WR's via # of playmakers.
-Chad Thomas, Trent Harris, Demetrius Jackson.
-All LB's via upside.
-Kiy and Marques @ Safety… because… well, you know.

Will contribute 2014:
-Chad Thomas
-Both Juco DT's, Juwon Young, Kiy Hester
-Hopefully Tyre Brady, Trayone Gray, David Njoku
-KC McDermott
*Berrios & Yearby, injuries allowing.

Linebackers
Will be interesting to see who steps up (Fig, Kirby, Grace…) and how that plays into the DE/LB dropping back… I know some are glad to see Jimmy Gaines go, was a bit lackluster, but did record 83 tackles in 2013.
--DP's back (108 TT)
--McCord primed for a big year.

O-Line
Production and intangibles aside, Seantrel was HUGE... Linder and Wheeler too... But still looking "strong" on OL:
--10 guys over 300lbs, 6 over 6'6''
--Darling 6'5'' 330 as frosh
--KC 6'6'' 301 as frosh

D-Line
Going by size and stats, with all due respect to behind the scenes leadership, our obvious (& well documented) weakness will be DT. We will need Juco transfers to STEP UP. I'm feeling confident @ DE w/Chad (Beast) Thomas, AQM & McCord floating.

Losing:
6'1'' 325 Curtis Porter
6'6'' 310 Justin Renfrow
6'3'' 296 Luther Robinson

Olsen Pierre, only returning DT listed over 300lbs, who played in more than 3 games (all 13).
--Chickillo, Jelani Hamilton, Kamalu --Need to take the next step.
--Wyche 6'4'' 315
--Huertelou 6'4'' 304
--Jenkins 6'2'' 294
--Moten 6'4'' 292

I seriously doubt that Tyre Brady and David Njoku contribute this year. I love them as prospects but they need to red shirt.

Gray isn't getting in this fall if ever. In the event of a miracle however, Gray will def contribute somewhere.

Nice to not have to "need" a freshman to come in a play huge minutes, like the past two classes. We will get big minutes from probably 6 to 10 of them, but not in the same as in the past. Now the two juco's that's another story.

I have to believe that both Brady and Njoku will get playing time. Brady needs to step up and replace Hurns and be a go to guy. Njoku is special with his size and jumping ability, he can be a great red zone threat which we did not have last year.

Williams will be fine honestly. Every redshirt is not a potential heisman. I was never sold on Olsen. Just my gut. Him during this year plus the two new qbs is the best possible scenario as far as comp and depth.

Coley/dorsett will be the go to receivers, with a chance of scott or lewis returning to form. My bet on touch totals would be coley, dorsett, herb, scott, lewis. No need for brady to play unless he can be lethal on sp, or of course we get killed w inj again like last yr.

I don't think Brady will be able to crack the rotation with everyone we have coming back, and Njoku will have to gain some serious weight to contribute as a TE/H-Back. Both look like redshirt candidates.

I don't see Brady getting many minutes. Just needs to develop more. Still pretty raw. Think he has the most upside of any receiver in this class.

Njoku maybe.

For me, it is about what it has always been about; the middle of our defense. Can we find a DT who can disrupt a play and command double-teams. I'm hoping Wyche is that guy.

Like the observation..I dont think Njoku and Brady will get much burn. I do believe Lewis is ready to contribute this year..his flashes were too nice his frosh year to not regain some of that old form. Our team got deeper this class and will only get better with incoming classes. Now is when you can really give Golden and staff slack if they start BS'n because now he has a team full of "his" guys and if you cant win with the players you recruited and developed then well like Sapp said.."Don't hire someone you cant fire"...
