PBP article on the new guys

* True freshman defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad stood out as a pass-rushing defensive end on third down, and contributed to kickoff coverage. He did not record a tackle, but got in the quarterback’s face several times.

“As the game kept going on, I got a little more comfortable and confident,” said Muhammad, who has not seemed to lack confidence in the two opportunities reporters have had to interview him (UM’s media day and after Friday’s game). “Next week, I can really do me and be the real Al-Quadin Muhammad.”

Interdasting..... Were the coaches holding back the beast so he can feast on some gator meat???

Playing a bunch of guys against fau not a bad thing but against uf he better have his hauses ready to rock and in shape to play the majority of the game.

Playing a bunch of guys on defense was a big problem last year.

kamalu and figs were both guys we never heard of but they were making plays. i am excited about the future of this program.

Maybe it's a one time thing, being his first game, but he didn't appear to know how to tackle.

Yeah he seems like the kind of guy that's gonna go flying in there for a kill shot on the qb and totally whiff. He'll learn. Loved the motor though.

could be first game jitters for aqm or it could be he wasnt used to strengh difference because in hs he could just throw guys around

If Al can pull a beast or two to plug the middle over the next three years, we are going to be deadly off the edge and in blitz packages.

The FAU game was the first time I've seen Artie play and I am very impressed with his cover skills. Kid may be starting by the time we hit ACC play which will move Crawford to cover the slot. Maybe not, but he impressed me the most. Figatron was right there than AQM. I didn't see enough from corn and Jc. Edwards needs to lower his pad level. Coley is going to be one bad **** for this team.
