Pete or Tito or Freddy or lil Michael...

any news on these two? Two local area DL recruits who we could use. James is decent sized IIRC, 6'2 240, Thomas around 6'2 225-230. These guys seemed to be undersized DE's who could be very disruptive.

I guess an even better question is, If we aren't recruiting local area guys like this, wouldn't that mean we're getting away from the classic 4-3 we're known for and into a scheme with bigger run stopping DE's, trying to apply pressure through blitzing LBers??

I've asked about James before and he is headed to JUCO it looks like. Terrible grades.

Thomas is nowhere near 6'2", 230. Very small

James is coming off of a knee injury and has serious grades issues

Saw him play against University and didn't come away as impressed as I wanted to be. Very smallish lower body so I'm not sure about growth potential and he wasn't a monster as a pass rusher as I'd hoped. Long arms and good athlete though. He could be a good player, just not what Miami needs right now.
