So you really think that Surtain Sr, who is the HC at a premier local high school football program that is a feeder school to Miami, would actively participate with his son in clowning the U and disrespecting an old friend? Unless Sr plans on moving out of Florida and never returning I don't buy that. Jr might not end up at Miami, but to believe that he is just ******** with Miami and has no legit interest is illogical, especially since his dad is visiting with him.

To be determined, the season ain't over yet. If we win the OB, we had a helluva good season. Short of UGA winning the national title, I would be hesitant to call it "underperforming." Richt won coach of the year honors for a **** good reason. People saw what we had and what we were also lacking, and there isn't a staff doing a better job than Miami's.

Yeah, let's hold off on casting final tallies on this season. I was more harsh on Curby's hire than has panned out but if we were to smoke Wisky and they lose a non-competitive game to Oklahoma then I'm definitely not comfortable saying Smart outperformed Rick this year.

Spermy Fart will likely finish his second season with a better record, but that doesn’t mean he outperformed Rick. Fart is doing it primarily with the guys left for him by UGA’s best HC; Rick won the Coastal and got us to the OB taking over for the worst HC in UM’s history.

That type of analysis will be lost on some of these clowns though, Franchise. Most of them are more interested in devaluing what we accomplished rather than being objective. They view taking over for Mark Richt and taking over for the string of Larry Coker, Randy Shannon, Al Golden as the same thing. Those of us who aren't living on the moon realize that the difference between the two is more than a loss or two. It's **** remarkable actually.

I was. My bad. Point is, AH is just 45 min away from Miami. That's still Canes country. If Jr was doing this (visits, saying he has interest) all on his own, then yeah, I'd consider the possibility this a Smith situation. But the fact that Sr is going with him to practices and visiting with Rumph strongly suggests legitimate interest, because I don't believe Sr would let his son intentionally waste his old teammate's time. Rumph also basically got Sr his start in high school coaching, so Surtain Sr would have to be a sick, twisted dude to conspire with his son to put one over on his old friend. Just use a bit of brainpower here- which scenario is more likely:
1) Surtain Sr is in cahoots with his son to make a fool out of Sr's friend
2) Jr was once a lock to lsu and hadn't really taken a close look at Miami, but now is visiting and watching practices because he wants to get a better feel for the program.

Bruh, you are getting wrapped up in something I already admitted I was wrong about - AH isn't the feeder school I thought it was. It doesn't negate my point though that Surtain Sr goes way back with Rumph and it would rank amongst the most low character acts I've ever seen in recruiting if Surtain Sr has teamed up with his son to embarrass the guy who helped Sr land his first high school coaching job (and former teammate).

Not saying STA or AH are feeder schools, but Michael Irving was a pretty good player from STA prior to Richt arriving as head coach.

I can't comprehend how some porsters on here don't understand this. This isn't jagoff Jr and jagoff sr shopping/trolling schools for the biggest payoff (Scam Newton style). Surtain Jr has never acted like a punk -he is a pedigreed player with a father who owes a lot to and has deep ties with Rumph. Sr is accompanying his son to these events, which means either Jr is messing with his dad (don't think so), sr and jr are messing with Rumph (I think sr has too much character for that), or Jr is legit trying to fairly evaluate if the program suits him because he is actually interested. Those are the only three possibilities, and you have to be intentionally ascribing bad intentions/very poor character to the surtains if you believe the first two are actually a possibility.

PS2 may very well end up at LSU, but his parents and immediate family are here in Broward County and have resided in Broward County (with the exception of the time Pat played for the Chefs) for a long time. While Mr. & Mrs. Surtain have family in Louisiana, they seem to be pretty happy in South Florida.

One more thing: LMAO at people writing that Mrs. Surtain is pushing her son to LSU as that isn't happening.
