Not trying to beat this into the ground, but did he ever put us in his top 6. They never even mention us in interviews. That’s what I keep coming back to.
That was months ago, things change
So when was this interview from? Dad didn’t mention us there but mentioned other schools. Have they said anything positive about Miami anywhere since the top 6 announcement?? Just asking.
It’s just that an interview like this, coming one day after the kid attends our practice, is like a slap in the face. Assuming the quotes are from today or yesterday, and that’s an assumption, but if it’s true, it’s just disrespectful as fūck.
And all the fūcking praise for Corey as a DB coach. Have any of the Surtains ever been quoted heaping such lavish praise on Rumph? I’m legitimately asking. Even faint praise. I don’t recall it. It may have happened. But I’d like to see it. There’s a reason I’m asking.
It's definitely not any slap in the face. Don't be a rookie.
This is crootin.
I don’t see it that way.
You slapping the label “crooning” on it is a cop out.
The Surtains rarely, if ever, have anything positive to say about Miami, the coaches, and specifically Rumph.
That’s telling.
We’re recruiting them, and doing our due diligence, as we should.
But even with the work we’re putting in, we are barely getting mentioned by them, if at all, but they continue to gush about others, mainly LSU and DB coach Corey. I don’t see anything about Miami or Rumph, either in printed interviews or apparently very little positive on the Rose interview (plenty on LSU)
Yesterday, the practice attendance seemed like a positive development, but for all we know they were there to observe
a practice. Just to learn. Just doing
their due diligence.
Now, maybe they’re keeping their enthusiasm for Miami a secret, unlike their enthusiasm for LSU and Corey. But do they seem like those kind of people?
It just seems logical to keep expectations in line with the behavior we are observing. Expectations need to line up with reality, and the reality is that all signs still point to an enormous LSU lean. Might there be a chance for a flip? Maybe. An outside chance. But, in my opinion, based on these observations, it’s a Hail Mary.
