Patrick Surtain jr.

Not trying to beat this into the ground, but did he ever put us in his top 6. They never even mention us in interviews. That’s what I keep coming back to.

That was months ago, things change

So when was this interview from? Dad didn’t mention us there but mentioned other schools. Have they said anything positive about Miami anywhere since the top 6 announcement?? Just asking.

It’s just that an interview like this, coming one day after the kid attends our practice, is like a slap in the face. Assuming the quotes are from today or yesterday, and that’s an assumption, but if it’s true, it’s just disrespectful as fūck.

And all the fūcking praise for Corey as a DB coach. Have any of the Surtains ever been quoted heaping such lavish praise on Rumph? I’m legitimately asking. Even faint praise. I don’t recall it. It may have happened. But I’d like to see it. There’s a reason I’m asking.

It's definitely not any slap in the face. Don't be a rookie.

This is crootin.

If Surtain to LSU was such a done deal he would have signed there already. Thats a fact.

Right, there's obviously no possibility that the kid knows where he wants to go but also wants to wait for NSD. Just because he doesn't seem like a prima donna doesn't mean he doesn't want the signing day spotlight for a few minutes. Or maybe there are other things going on. While him not signing in December is a good sign for us, it's hardly proof that he's undecided.

Odd twist w/ the new early signing period. There are recruits who've actually signed papers but didn't want schools to announce them til Feb. One coach said the tricky part is you could end up committing a violation recruiting a kid you don't know that's signed someplace else.

It is clear Surtain has not signed. If he would of signed he doesn't have to tell the media or fans, but he would have to tell the coaches. That means he would not be getting recruited anymore and would not be showing up to a Miami practice.

....how is that a fuggin rule!?!?!?!?!

Not sure. Doesn't make sense. My only answer is maybe Feldman is talking about the financial aid agreement and not an actual LOI, but I feel like he would have specified that.

Felchman is a dope. LOL at him claiming a school could catch a violation for recruiting a kid who secretly signed somewhere else. That's asinine.

He didn’t claim anything. He’s saying what a coach told him.

Feldman is the best there is covering college football from a national level.

He was at our practice yesterday and is likely OVing with the other AH kids. Doesn't sound like someones whls committed to me.

What's worse - that he came up with that on his own or someone in coaching told him that and he's just parrotting the nonsense?

I don't think he's signed either I was bringing up the possibility in a more general sense, if that makes any sense

If his mind is made up, then why's he at UM bowl practice and coming for an OV? If he's making himself available to be recruited, then he's still open.

not sure i believe that tweet. so kids will be going on visits when they are already signed? maybe they signed an aid package. If this is true, no reason why Silvera shouldnt
have signed.

He published that comment, so he's a dope. Anyone of even reasonable intelligence would know that a violation in that instance would be impossible. He was also advocating Cristobal to be UM's HC, so he's extra dopey.

Ask Pat Sr some questions about Mike Rumph and what y'all think you'd hear?

Pat Jr was at practice yesterday and the Surtain family has been checking out games.

The U is definitely in this fight. We got a lot of ammo and none better than the Heritage trio to push him our way.

He’s got plenty positive to say, on the record, about Corey.

Find me some quotes about Rumph. Anywhere. I’d love to see them.

Reading that article tells me two things. 1) Surtain Jr is going to LSU and 2) despite saying it's Jr's decision, Sr is driving the bus and pushing him there.

I agree that the article seems "pro LSU", and rightfully so. It is an SEC Country LSU website. Were you expecting it to be "pro Miami?"

I don't have a clue regarding where Surtain will sign, but I am not putting any weight into this article. Based on the feel/vibe of this article, PS2 is beating his dyck to thoughts/images of Raymond during the time that he is actually on the phone with Rumph.
Nope. I definitely was not expecting it to be pro-Miami. With that said, I stand by what I said. And while you're joking, Sr probably is beating his dyck to those thoughts.

Sr's phone interview with Joe Rose was Pro LSU also and its a Miami based show

Nah I think they have to tell the coaches and can't go on visits and stuff. They just don't have to publicly announce it to anyone else

"If he's making himself available to be recruited, then he's still open"

Seems like a pretty simple concept.
Visiting practices and OV = Is is still open possibility.

This is crootin.

I don’t see it that way.

You slapping the label “crooning” on it is a cop out.

The Surtains rarely, if ever, have anything positive to say about Miami, the coaches, and specifically Rumph.

That’s telling.

We’re recruiting them, and doing our due diligence, as we should.

But even with the work we’re putting in, we are barely getting mentioned by them, if at all, but they continue to gush about others, mainly LSU and DB coach Corey. I don’t see anything about Miami or Rumph, either in printed interviews or apparently very little positive on the Rose interview (plenty on LSU)

Yesterday, the practice attendance seemed like a positive development, but for all we know they were there to observe a practice. Just to learn. Just doing their due diligence.

Now, maybe they’re keeping their enthusiasm for Miami a secret, unlike their enthusiasm for LSU and Corey. But do they seem like those kind of people?

It just seems logical to keep expectations in line with the behavior we are observing. Expectations need to line up with reality, and the reality is that all signs still point to an enormous LSU lean. Might there be a chance for a flip? Maybe. An outside chance. But, in my opinion, based on these observations, it’s a Hail Mary.

PS2 could very well end up at L$U. However, that article has as much relevance as a cassette tape in a Tesla.

It's a reason why a pro LSU website felt the need/pressure to post such article the day after PS2 was at our bowl practice.

LSU is a stupid choice. That staff, particularly that DB coach they love, will be gone next year or two.

Hoodie is down on this one; but I got one eye opened on it. I’ll put it like this:

If I know my man’s across the street got shorty locked up, and she seems all in to him, but every now and then she gives the boy the wink and a smile when her man not looking...she can be a flirt, fa sho, but if she’s a flirt, then that means she can be got, too.

Everybody got PS2 locked in w LSU, but if he’s been to our game, his dad been twice, feeling the vibe and now Jr comes down to practice on his own, aye...anything can happen. We went from not mentioned to getting an official. We rock the Orange Bowl, have them attend, allow them to feel the vibe one more time, if he’s still flirting, he might be ours.

BUT AGAIN, hoodie down on this one, but one eye is peeping the scene.
