I've never got why people on here thought he was a UF lock. Texas has been confident on him for awhile, and his family has as strong ties there as they do to FL

I don’t understand why anybody wanted him. He came from that Chop blocking offense And I don’t know how he would’ve done at real blocking. Maybe it’s just the old offensive lineman in me. Maybe I’m dead wrong but he just would not have been high on my list

I've been saying the same. Dude has been cut blocking for 3 or 4 years and they don't even really practice pass protection because gt didn't throw the ball.

They probably wanted braun so bad cuz the mullen offense is heavily predicated on qb runs and misdirection overall so he wouldn't be asked to do too much pass pro but I'm just glad to see the gaytors strike out twice today. Beck is gonna torture those boys in the near future.

I mean..last Georgia tech lineman who was hyped like Parker Braun was shaq mason..who says hi and is doing well in the nfl after chop blocking for years.

And Army had an OLman this past season who the NFL is interested in as well.
These offenses are not as ancient and unsophisticated as many think.
They do alot of traps, combo blocks, pulling, etc.

I need to find the article, but I read where Urban was particularly interested in Paul Johnson's
offense. He even Johnson on several occasions, asked him to keep it on the down-low...lol.

I noted that a lot of teams said that about UM. ****ed me off! The truth does that to me . . .

You don't understand why teams wanted a Freshman All-American & 2-time All-Conference offensive lineman? Really?

Who on our roster has achieved those type of credentials? You take a guy like that .02 seconds.
