They're going to get theirs if they did anything dirty. It'll come when the NOA comes. Hurtt will be hurtting too.

I'm sure the NCAA also sees nothing wrong with an SEC team winning the NC 7 years in a row.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

Stoutland was the only coach on the old staff that I thought was worth a ****...he was building a line that resembles that Alabama OL.

That Alabama interior OL ate Notre Dame for lunch. Barrett Jones locked down Louis Nix III, Chance Warmack and/or Anthony Steen would release to the second level and destroy Manti Te'o. Rinse, repeat all night.

ummm...Larry that boi Nix did whatever he wanted to with Barret Jones. In fact he earned himself some money...it was the other guys...Nix was pushing dude back 3 yds every **** play..i knew it would happen to as Barrett Jones is VERY overated at the center spot...he is a tackle/guard imo...every biug game i watch he gets handled inside....

Nix did his thing....

What kills me is the local media like Manny Navarro interviewed those 2 guys over
the weekend and they glossed over their time at UM and the scandal they were involved in.
Meanwhile, same media and folks who work for them have had no problem skewering this school
these last 2 years.

Reprehensible. Navarro is a scumbag. Same guy who said we could wind up with 5 bowl bans smack dab in the middle of recruiting season a few weeks ago.

Also, this game showed Manti Te'o failing to make athletic plays and fill the hole effectively moreso than get locked up with linemen.

I actually focused in on this matchup and this is spot on. Nix kicked his ***. The only thing Jones did was shade him sometimes, but Nix was getting up field at will. He got tired, and slowed down. He got to the point where he was barely getting in a three point stance, but when he was going full out he was killing Jones. Of course the over-hyped Jones gets lauded for taking Nix one on one....So annoying. I don't think Jones will end up being very good in the NFL. He's probably the weakest link on that line. He's smart though, and that makes up for a lot at the college level. Not so much in the NFL.

Te'o had a terrible game last night, not worthy of his accomplishments. As for Manny Navarro, Golden needs to ban him from campus. Let him get his stories at the Shake Shack across Dixie Highway.

Actually, I'm going to disagree with you. For playing center against a 340 DL, I think Barrett Jones did pretty well. If you guys really think that a center's job is to push the nose guard 5 yards every play, you guys are insane then. From making the calls, to snapping the ball, then trying to get your snapping arm up to block the nose guard is no easy task. I played one year of D1 football as a center (played RT in high school) and that was a **** hard transition.

As a center you rely a lot of times on your guard to chip block and then peel off to the next layer. If you aren't getting help, then your looking to direct your assignment to the opposite direction of the play.

Sucked seeing that c*cksucker Hurtt on the field with Louisville too. NCAA better hit those who were actually involved in this too

This. Especially when you are facing a 3-4 and the nose tackle is right over the center. I'll give Nix some credit. He made some plays but it was FAR from a dominant effort of Jones.

Barret Jones took Nix one on one and did ok. That's a win for Alabama as that allowed them to get the guards on the ILBs. Usually a dominant nose in a 3-4 commands a center guard double team on every play.

Anyone who says Barret Jones is overrated doesn't know what he's talking about.

Jones is a great football palyer and the key to Alabama's OL success these past years. His ability and versatility allowed Alabama to cover up any weakness in their ol by playing whatever position Bama needed OT, OG and this year C. He consistently played well in the biggest games.

Nix was the only Domer that showed up on defense. If you looked at it last night from the perspective of a Notre Dame player who was better than what Bama put out there or looked like an Alabama player - he was the one. Problem is conditioning is still such that he can't stay on the field.

If Nix "did whatever he wanted" with Jones, Alabama doesn't run for 6ypc. Jones on Nix was by design to get the guards up field and Jones was often flushing Nix out of the play. By the time Nix was "pushing dude back 3 yds every **** play" Ed Lacy and TJ Yeldon were three yards up field in the opposite direction. Results speak for themselves.

Funny enough, the first two drives of the game, Diaco tried to shade Nix AWAY from Jones...when Nix was on Jones, the result was the same...Alabama runs all over them.

If Nix was "having his way" with Jones, Saban doesn't continue to do the same thing for four quarters, giving no ***** about Nix all game. Nix's only work against Jones came when the game was already 35-0. He had a couple of good plays when the game was already over. When he took Yeldon down in the backfield on 'Bama's second drive, he was shaded off Jones.

Methinks you saw what Nix did way late in the game and attributing it to the entire game on Alabama's final two offensive drives where Nix actually put him the bulk of his work. Bama's whole run game was based off one-on-one with Nix, they went most of the game without even chipping him...if he was besting anyone out there, Alabama doesn't go HAM in the run game.

Also, pass pro? That was the cleanest pocket you'll ever see for a QB all night. They ran deep crossing routes in the second half and McCarron ate a **** sammich before throwing the **** thang.
