Anyone know how many kids we're targeting have said they'll announce by the end of the summer? What's your Over/Under of having 15 or more commits by Sept 1? 20 by December early signing day?

Prior to Mario and the NIL era, the general rule of thumb was that if a local Top 25 kid didn't commit by the first game of his senior year, he was 80%+ likely to commit somewhere other than Miami. Mario changed all that with Bissainthe and Kelly in his first class with only a few weeks to pull it off. And now with the NIL market has thrown a huge amount of uncertainty on the timing of public commitments.

Mario also seems totally comfortable competing with playoff-level teams for recruits all the way up to the finish line in December and then again in February. Does he take it to the wire? Or get most kids on board early and focus only on a few remaining blue chippers?

I’d say under, as others stated the changes in NIL will undoubtedly have kids waiting u til ESD and NSD before they’ll commit. I’d say it’s going to be @8-10.

Considering we currently have 5 committed, and a few targets planning on announcing over the summer, I'd set the 9/1 over under at 10.5. I'm thinking Kirkland, Bryant, Emory, maybe 2 WRs gets you to 10, + 1 surprise?

But that's also assuming we get all of them. I think a good line for this site would be 10 or 10.5. You'd probably get close to even money on both sides

I guess I'll take the Over, then. Win-win for me, baby!
