It seems our LB's are subpar. Often they over pursue and miss tackling RB's when opponents run the ball. We've had so many great LB's its tough to see RB's bust through for long gains. I rewatched the louisville game and was disappointed in how our lB's played, especially against the run. I thought when Francisco Mauigoa returned he would dominate. We've seen to many long runs...thoughts?

Both LBs and secondary are bad.

Kiko is open cheeks and I can’t graduate fast enough.

I swear it feels like we slurp up the same regurgitation from the previous week and regurgitate it again just to have something to talk about. The Defense has been wet garbage since Richt left. And even then, it was average. We sent more than teams cold block, gave the qb smaller windows of time and forced mistakes. But lets not act like this team (for the most part) Allow MTSU and Duke score 45+.

We've made improvements on the on personnel since, but they are still developing. So I didn't expect the defense to take a leap until year 4 at best. Should be better next year, but corner is still going to be stressful af to watch.

Wes has been good, Louisville was bad for him, kiko has been mid all year.

Also I just dont like guidry run fits in general, its almost like manny with a couple different fronts.

I thought we stepped in a good direction with steele but even he was kinda outdated with bow he fitted counter(see fsu) game.

I cant say it’s just talent either because look at bama and osu,how many teams recruit better than them? It’s coaching and scheme

Totally agree about overpursuit - every game.
They’re playing hard but a real lack of discipline.
With the linebackers I disagree that it's discipline. There's just not the most athletic of dudes like the linebackers issues with is Kiko and Wes I mean different if it was Bobo if it was Hayes etc no it's always the same Kiko and Wes or virtually the same player at least from systematic approach

They’re always one step away from making a play. Once the play is diagnosed, a faster and more athletic player gets there and make a the play. Instead of being one step behind.

I still think our LBs need to set 3-5 yard off the ball more than they are. Guidry is doing Kiko no favors having him walk up on the ball and then try to read a quick swing pass or toss to the outside. VT exploited that with their toss sweeps all day. Kiko isn’t quick enough to drop, read, and then make a play. When he’s caught in open field he is often accelerating to catch up rather than decelerating to break down and make a tackle. I’d like to see him stay off the ball and just come downhill. Also thinking back to his sacks from last year and I remember a bunch of them coming with him being set traditionally off the ball and reading then blitzing.
