in today's version of douchebag of the day

Western Illinois coach Charlie Fisher signs 13 players during early signing period, leaves the program the next day to become Arizona State WR coach

why have them sign early? if you're ditching a lower program for a better job isn't it not better to leave the program hanging rather than leaving 13 kids hanging? or are those kids just happy to have a scholarship somewhere

would much rather leave a lower program in shambles than ***** over 13 young men who were sold on a vision

Get used to it, it will happen several times every recruiting cycle and at some point some kid
will challenge their early signing to the point that he will be allowed to rescind and re-sign in
the second signing period and then that will start a new trend.

So if Dugans leaves for fsu you'll think he should have told our guys not to sign early?

Different when it's a head coach

Easy fix. If you sign early and the head coach leaves, you're LOI is null and void.

He should sit for a year. And the AD should block him the college he really wants to sign.

Although I think you should commit to a program and not just a coach...I do think if something material happens (e.g. HC leaves or serious sanctions) and you were unaware, then you should be allowed out of your LOI.
