College football's fastest man might be taking his talents to another sport.

Florida State freshman wide receiver Marvin Bracy is considering leaving school to take a shot at becoming a professional sprinter, according to a couple reports that surfaced on Tuesday.

Bracy was a four-star football recruit out of Orlando's Boone High in the class of 2012. He redshirted his first season at FSU due to an injury but acquitted himself well during the fall by being named the offense's scout team player of the year.

When spring rolled around, Bracy did well on the track, too. The 5-foot-9, 175-pounder blazed a 6.54 in the indoor 60 meter dash this past February while competing for the Noles track team. It was the fastest 60 in the nation (and seventh-fastest in the world) and added to his outdoor bests of 10.25 in the 100 meters and 21.02 in the 200 meters that he ran as a senior in high school.

With times like these, and the fact that Bracy missed all of spring ball to run track, it's no shock that he may soon be exchanging his helmet and pads for spikes and a singlet.

Don't expect the FSU football team to hurt too much if Bracy does go pro. While his extraordinary speed will be missed, the Noles are fairly deep at receiver, with four of their top five returning from last season.

**** that is soooo shady considering he strong armed kermit to switch to FSU and now he is leaving before kermit even steps foot on campus. Well maybe jimbo will release kermit from his LOI so he can thenswitch to UM. But then again he was a little shady toward the end of his recruitment in dealing with UM, he may have burned that bridge.

Go Canes
