Was wondering if any Dolphins / SoFL guys had any insight into Miller. I know he's had a couple of bad games, but he's also had some very productive games with limited carries. He's averaging 4.2 ypc but receives less than 15 carries every game. Do the phins not like running the ball? Don't trust him? Just curious what the deal with him is and why they don't try leaning on him more. Thanks.

Despite only getting seven carries, I believe he played about 80% of the snaps Sunday, which is by far a season high.

Good sign.

Surprised he played 76% of snaps against Baltimore since they threw the ball 40 times.

Watching Mike Sherman call plays, you'd think it was 1984 and Dan Marino was back there. I've never seen an OC abandon the run so quickly as Sherman has this season. He's going to get Tannehill killed if he keeps this up, and Lamar Miller, who is having a good year when he actually is allowed to run the **** ball, is not getting a chance. Tannehill is on pace to get sacked more than David Carr.

who cares..only south fla pro football team I follow is located in coral gables

Miller has had some good games a good carries. If you get lest than 10-15 carries a game regardless of how you're doing, you'll never really do that good.

Ill get bashed for this, but one of the stats the dolphins Oline is pretty high in is yards before contact in the running game(obviously this mustve been prior to Baltimore). But the reason I bring this stat up is because Im not very impressed by Lamar(even though his ypc is very good), he seems to decelerate at the second level in anticipation of contact and has shown to be very ackward in space when given opportun ities for big plays. He doesnt catch and block very well either. I would love nothing more than for a cane to ball out with the phins, but Lamars got work to do, and may be better servede as a situational back

I don't care how bad the OL is (it's bad) you can't run the ball 6 times a game. That makes an OL worse. There were games that they won, where Miller was averaging 5 or 6 yards a carry, but they only gave him 10 or 11 carries. It's not all the OL, it's also play calling.

It sounds like they are trying to run the GB offense without Rodgers. Don't think that will work.

Duke Johnson is a better RB and overall player last year. Lamar has speed and that is about it. He goes down easy and can't grind out yardage. He has to be in space to be effective.

As I said during the draft process, I'd be surprised if he has a sustained career as a #1 back you can give the ball 25 times a game. He's a player you need to spot, IMO, get into space, or use as a chance of pace back.

Miami coaches came from GB. They run the same style. Very pass heavy. Last game really ****ed me off because they threw it 40+ and only ran 11 times. Should have easily won that game against Baltimore with any balance at all.

Very much like the way Reggie Bush needs to be used.

A poor mans, Bush yeah. Bush is more dynamic and is better with YAC than LM IMO.
