CJ is going to end up being a stud head coach. I've had the privilege of watching him work and talked to him on several occasions. He's impressed wherever he's coached. He's got the organizational skills to handle program management. He has NFL experience. He's been around elite college programs. And he's doing a tremendous job at Tulane. Recruits and players love him. He has the versatility to deal with admins and boosters. The guy simply has the makings of being an elite CFB HC. I think we will see his name getting mentioned in connection with some major openings this Spring, and I have no doubt he will get a major offer within two years. I predict he will have a meteoric rise over the next 5 years.

I'm a Tulane alum, and I follow them closely. He's doing this with a lot of Bob Toledo's recruits too. He's brought in some studs the last 2 years, but the recruiting should only improve after a bowl this year. Most impressive was the wins over ECU and Tulsa were without starting QB Nick Montana (Joe's son). Nico Marley is 3rd on the team in tackles as a true frosh, they have 2 good RB, a stud WR, 2 DL graduate transfers from LSU and they're 2nd in the nation in turnovers.

As for openings, I think he's staying at Tulane for a bit. He's a New Orleans guy, as his wife. Tulane is opening their on campus stadium next year, and moving into the AAC.

Defiantly one of those underdog teams I look at to see how their doing especially since they got lil Marley starting....

Interesting team in fertile grounds they'll be like ucf a real pain in the *** to top level teams but will get no love nationally

If and when golden leaves(hopefully not for a long time) I would consider him as a potential replacement.

Huge recruiting tool is Sean Payton. He comes to practice, they use the Saints indoor facility. Saints players are always around Tulane's campus and practices.

Curtis needs to stay at Tulane. Tulane needs to stay in CUSA instead of moving to the abortion that is the AAC.

A fellow Tulane alum. 6-2 is so much better than I thought the program would be this year given what they did last year. Unfortunately Tulane hasn't been able to keep the good coaches for the last 15 years. Not as positive that he will stay. He is, however, 51. So may be.

I don't really know much about Tulane.
What type of offense and defense do they run? Is CJ doing anything new with respect to offensive and defensive schemes?

I always liked him here, hope he does a great job at Tulane and moves on to bigger and better things.

They run the Saints offense. Like literally the same playbook, so, yes on offense. The OC is Eric Price, Mike Price's son. They have co-defensive coordinators, one was the DC at U of San Diego and the other is Lionel Washington the longtime NFL DB (and Tulane alum) who was a DB coach in the NFL. They blitz a lot on defense.
