OT: Bruce Feldman On James Franklin To USC (Issac/Johnson Jr)

Was on Rich Eisen's show today and put the odds at 40% that he replaces Clay Helton. He's very plugged into that program so it's worth keeping an eye on.

I personally think it'd be a beyond awful hire for them but it could come into play with Adisa Isaac's recruitment and probably some schadenfreude with Michael Johnson Jr.

That’d be great I totally agree that a bad fit for usc, if I were Franklin id just stay at penn st. We’d torally land that de if he leaves but I feel like mjjr just didn’t like the Miami vibe as a whole, it’s not for everyone

According to this, it'd be a "personality" hire. Which screams stupid from an otherwise very intelligent man in Lynn Swann.

Like I said, he's a very intelligent dude but I agree in that it was a very strange hire too. He had zero experience in a job that one normally doesn't walk off the street into. AD at a big time school is probably a more difficult job than university president at many others. I guess they were willing to roll the dice based off how much Mike Garrett sucked- another "family" hire.
