Two middling Big12 teams come into the mighty SEC and seemingly have flourished. One or two seasons is too soon for it to be some massive improvement in the rosters that would be necessary to compete with such a mighty untouchable conference.
The only rational explanation can be that while the SEC has featured some elite teams, the overall conference is not any stronger than any other conference. Yet the media simply toes the company line, and instead of realizing the whole conference isn't all that, they inflate the two new teams. Suddenly aTm and Mizzou are elite programs when two years ago they were afterthoughts?
