If his father wasn’t severely ill, he’ll still be at OSU. He didn’t have to transfer anywhere...he did it out of his own will.

We were going to be fine either way but out of the bigger receivers not including the ones we just signed he has a much higher ceiling than njoku,cager or Langham. Fact is he wanted to be here the second go around, could have got him and we chose not to go and get him yet we will recruit a receiver like ezzard(who is not bad) but not as good as grimes. Bad judgment decision imo
 
Dude has done nothing at the college level, but since he is a former 5-star he is some once in a generation wr.

Miami is great when the local kids want to stay home. Miami is **** when we start chasing out of town kids and get too many players who don't love Miami. This kid does not love the U. Pope loves the U. These are the kids we need.

Man, this is just a bad move at best on Richt's part. That's it. Nothing more. Nothing less. Grimes just would've been running up the score at a position we're already filthy at. I would've taken him mostly to prevent him from going to FSU or UF (and for the STA ties). However, anyone talking about firing him bc he didn't want to take this kid is a moron.
 
This is definitely not the end of the world but how the **** do you pick Ezzard or another prospect this year over Grimes? That’s essentially what they did.
 
Grimes balled this season too... oh wait. Not a position of need. This staff Is better at evaluating than anyone here. How do we know he’s the same player after the acl? That’s the thing, there isn’t another receiver out there right now that you should pick over grimes now that the early signing period passed
