No, he's not transferring due to PT. He's transferring due to a personal situation that has nothing to do with on field performance. In other words, he's not some 5 star bust that's looking for a new home to get on the field.

If he wants to come here, and Rick rejects him on some dopey “you should have come when we asked” standard, then Rick should be Baker Acted stat.

There’s a time and place for that tough guy grandstanding, and this ain’t it. Burgess-Meredith-Becker? Yeah. Feed him ****. Grimes? Welcome him with open arms Steve Perry style.

Only last week, Richt specifically talked about former recruits grabbing him or his coaches after games asking to transfer back in, and having to tell them that he's sorry but they don't re-recruit kids that they offered but chose other programs. I think it's a policy of his, and I doubt Grimes is even in the discussion.

No, he said that. I don't think it's an absolute policy so much as him just letting recruits know that other guys have dissed Miami then realized their mistake but found that we aren't putting up with that. Richt isn't an idiot, so I assume he'd take a transfer at a position of need if he felt the kid was good enough.

Hold up. I haven't gone back to re-listen to that part, but I could've sworn Richt said he finds himself having to tell kids "sorry but we don't have room for you now." As in, if that's the case that's what he tells them.

I don't remember him saying anything about not re-recruiting kids because they chose other programs over us or that he isn't putting up with that. Don't recall that at all, either explicitly or implicitly.

The interest on Grimes' end is legit there, I'm not sure what the **** the rationale in telling this kid no is but seems like we're hesitant.
 
Unless Mrs Richt pulled a candi fisher with this young man there is no reason u don't take a kid this talented who wants to be at UM

Richt himself said we aren't talented enough to compete with clemson. He then has a 5 ⭐️WR in his lap and he is ******** this up

You guys seem to have created a debate around something that has very little substance. What are you expecting Richt and the staff to do? He hasn't requested his release from OSU. If he becomes an option and we pass on him than you can start complaining. In the mean time the staff is going after Ezzard. Let's have faith in the staffs judgement.

Fvck all of that hard stance on transfers for guys like THIS. If he wants to come bring him in period...

2) I’ve been asked a couple of times recently about wide receiver Trevon Grimes so I checked again on his status.
At this point I would be surprised if Grimes is back at Ohio State. It has nothing to do with him not being happy with being a Buckeye, it is just a family health issue and being closer to home and family.
The source went on to say he feels Grimes will wind up at one of the three big Florida schools, Miami, Florida or Florida State.

LOL at the dopes from Ohio Taint who claim Grimes wants to be close to home and then list Gainesville and Tallahassee as options. From a travel time perspective, he’s closer to home in Columbus than he would be at those other two North Florida **** holes.

I may have misunderstood what Richt said about not relooking at past recruits wishing to transfer back in. You guys may be right he was just talking about not having availability/room vs. having a no-returns policy. Hope I was wrong, as I'd love to have Grimes on this team, and I think he's a better option than the other guys on the board coming out of high school that we're looking at. His highlights are sick.

He would allow it if the family health issue is true. That wouldn't be a good look for any coach.
