OSU Transfer

Grimes to Miami. (Just a feeling) We shall see.

Only last week, Richt specifically talked about former recruits grabbing him or his coaches after games asking to transfer back in, and having to tell them that he's sorry but they don't re-recruit kids that they offered but chose other programs. I think it's a policy of his, and I doubt Grimes is even in the discussion.

I like Richt, but that's a silly policy that sounds like it was originated on this site.

I don't remember us recruiting Grimes. We were all in for Jeudy.maybe that's a factor.

We recruited him. He was just dead set on OSU before Richt was even hired

GET GRIMES! That’s our 4th WR!!! He’s a reincarnation of Mike Evans! Get him here! Do not get caught in your feelings about him....Richt came late to the party. There should always be room for these types of guys. The Jobes, Hendersons, Edwards, Jeudys of the world, yeah they need to stay on the outs, but Grimes was heavily recruited by OSU from the jump. If he realizes he wants to stay closer to home and Miami is the best of both worlds, TAKE HIM!

I think there's also some family issues involved hopefully that will make a difference.

That and the fact i'm not sure how much we even recruited the kid.Wasn't he already committed to OSU when Richt was hired???

FSU was his second choice, so keep an eye on that. Wouldn't surprise me if Taggart called him already, as he could care less about tampering.

Right, but are there any bags involved? Richt won’t go there. Taggart might.

Not might. He will. Bot saying he will with Grimes, but he'll definitely drop one or two for the right prospect. Dude is a violation waiting to happen.

Grimes was the best wr I seen run a 9 route in hs. He was basically uncoverable going deep. He's a take if there was.
Hes a five star talent that will push the other wrs on our roster if he were to come. Im not sure whats taking so long to be honest...hes better than anything were after at thi spoint in season

That's 8 hours from home. If he is truly trying to get closer to an ill family member, that isn't gonna do much. **** you could fly home from Columbus in half the time it would take you to drive down from trailerhassee

Only 3 schools fit that criteria of being super close to home: UM, FAU, and FIU.

USF is 3.5 hours away. Not bad.
UCF is 4 if you speed.
UF is 5
You can do Tally in 6.5 from Lauderdale.

Ohio State mod also saying it is not looking good for them. Richt should forgive this kid and let him join.

Hope we are on this kid. Better than Ezzard, who is no sure thing anyway. No room for hurt feelings here....get the best players.

This

What has Grimes proved to be a "sure thing"? He's coming off an ACL injury and he didnt do much as a freshman. To me, Ezzard and Grimes are on the same level based on the "sure thing" concept
