Been searching for some alternate options at DE other than Williams because I think it is a bigger need than people realize. There needs to be at least one DE in this class (not including Bain or Bostwick, who can play DT or DE).
These four kids would have interest if Miami reached out to them from what I've been told, but we will see if the staff takes a serious look at any of them. I have no idea if Miami likes them, but they are possible options if they are looking to add somebody late.
Tyquan Lewis (Tarboro High School in North Carolina)- 6'4, 220... doesn't really play with his hand on the ground, but is a great athlete (basketball player) and can add weight. 4-star on Rivals--Here are his highlights

Alvonte Bell (Everglades High School in Miramar)- Kentucky commit, who would look at Miami VERY hard if the staff comes calling. 6'6, 230 athletic freak with a great wingspan. Would have been offered in last year's class. 3-star on Rivals--Here are his highlights

Justin Moody (George Washington High School in Philadelphia)- Stout build at 6'3, 265, he is very good against the run. Plays a little high at times, but shows a good motor. From an area that Golden and D'Onofrio are familiar with. 3-star on Rivals--Here are his highlights

Austin Roberts (Northside HS in Warner Robins, GA)- 6'5, 275 kid who camped and impressed. I know that Miami is his favorite school and he would commit on the spot if offered according to his father. Holds a Mississippi State offer.
Another name that has been thrown around a lot is Paul James from Norland. There are two issues with him that is keeping big-time schools away. First, he is in a bad situation grades-wise and would not qualify at Miami. Secondly, he is coming off of knee surgery, which obviously is a red light. He could be a kid that the staff monitors throughout the season.
It's important to realize something else as well. Tim Williams is a pass-rushing specialist, which Miami has a lot of and can find every year in South Florida. What I think they need is those bigger, 3-4 type ends like Jacoby Briscoe and Jelani Hamilton. You can only have so many undersized speed rushers.
