One thing I don't like about D'Onofrio

First of all let me say I don't think he should be fired or anything like that. The defense is very young and he should be given time and then we can judge him with a larger sample. But the one thing I don't like about him is that he is not accountable, he has yet to take some responsibility for the defense's failures. I've been listening to Golden's interviews and he flat out said he was outcoached and said put that on me. He didn't beat around the bush about it. D'Onofrio on the other hand has yet to say anything close to that. All he has said is that players are out of position and there have been mental errors but not once has he claimed any responsibility by saying I have to do better and that he has made mistakes too.

This is a young defensive unit. It wouldn't surprise me that a lack of confidence is starting to creep into the minds of these kids. Coach D needs to step up to the plate and take some responsibility. If nothing else reassure the kids that the isses going on defensively will be fixed, and it starts with his coaching ability. They are all in this together.
