If he can play half a dozen snaps a game for Clemson I guess he can play half a dozen a game for us.

I don"t know why it's garbage.

Can you critique it for us?

(If you don't know what "critique" means, let me know. I'll try to explain.)

They seem to be out in the woods when it comes to their predictions on the offensive line and defensive tackle IMHO. And as deep as we are at WR, I don't think Deejay Dallas gets lots of burn there. It's not that he couldn't excel there. Just that his talent is more needed elsewhere. He's likely the 2nd RB, unless they move him to CB which seems unlikely. On the o-line, I really don't think Donaldson has the feet to play LT. I think he will stay on the right side and whether he ends up at RT or RG will depend on whether Scaife starts off at tackle. I seriously doubt Gaynor starts at OG. I think he's the 2nd team center for 2018 and he and Mahoney will fight it out to be the first guard off the bench. On the d-line there is no way Jon Ford end up as a 3rd string player. We need his big body in the middle. He'll start besides Willis unless Tito's experience beats him out. But he's still gonna be in the two deep. Personally, I'd leave the line the way it was last year from center out to RT, and let Scaife and Herbert fight it out at LT with Boulware the starting LG unless Mahoney or Gaynor can somehow beat him out. I'm real excited to see how the o-line settles out and I think our talent is incrementally better there in 2018 over 2017.

@caneinpsl very well said. Agree completely with your comments about the OL and WR. I actually laughed a little when I saw he had Donaldson playing LT. Donaldson may well get there in the future, but I agree his natural progression would be to RT. Gaynor will probably be our 2nd center. Also, agree with what you said about the WR position.

Personally, I wouldn't want to see Jeff Thomas inside. I think he's better on the outside. Hightower will play and play a lot. He is the most polished receiver we've gotten since AR. He might not have ARs natural talent - maybe he's close - but he is a technician. Watched him closely in what we could see of the AA practices and game, and I don't think he ever took a false step - no wasted motion at the line of scrimmage or in his routes. His game from the neck up is elite. Canes are going to love what he brings. He's going to be a nightmare to cover. Just got to get someone to get him the ball. Pope is best suited inside because of his lateral quickness. Ezzard and Brevin Jordan are also going to be a matchup nightmare because of their size, athleticism, and playmaking ability. I hope we flex Jordan, and I expect Ezzard will play in the slot. Another poster asked about Evidence, he's a playmaker. I think he's going to pass Langham. Nothing against Langham, but he's too inconsistent. And, Cager needs to play like this is a contract year because it is.

DeeJay Dallas is a running back now, and that's where I think he's going to stay. He too is a playmaker, and I would have him at #2a behind Homer to start the season, but I fully expect LL to be 1b by midseason.

I was intrigued that the writer thought Williams would be higher on the depth chart than Nkosi. QBs are ridiculously hard to project, but I love all three of our youngsters.
