Fairly obvious FSU's defensive game plan was to keep things in front of them in the secondary and put pressure on Ward. Kudos to them for making the Canes earn it.
On the positive side of things, the Canes showed that teams have to pick their poison with the Canes O because when the down field passing game was taken away, the Canes just ran it right down their throat. I heard in post game the Canes had 4 offensive series of 10+ plays. So, the Canes can beat you with the big play or grinding it out. Pretty **** impressive.
I'd love to say the Canes D finally showed a pulse, but that FSU O is so bad I think the local high school team could hold them under 20.
