One concern I have….

Us and smu are the only teams to beat them by 3 scores. They're decent on D. Offense though, woof. They're bend but don't break. Smus qb ran all over them which is one of their big weaknesses. Wars could've had 100 on the ground

As you said, I agree a good defense can slow Cam down. But that opens up the run game.

It limits our explosiveness, but considering we scored on 8 of 9 possessions, it's really just picking your poison

Yeah, exactly. If you told us before the game we were going to put up over 450 yards of offense and outgain them by 200, we'd take it. We probably would've assumed it'd be a lot more through the air, but 230 rushing yards is a winning formula too. They have some talented guys on D, and it was hard for us to pass block and get open. But that's also because they were worried about getting blown out of the f'ing stadium and chose to give up the running opportunities to prevent that from happening.

Jeremiah Smith I know he has been talked about too much here but his one decision is a bad one. Will Howard ain't winning anything and he could've made this offense literally unstoppable because he can beat man coverage.
Maan if our recruiting was really like that we could have him and Brooks. I could only imagine how crazy this offense would be.

The noles showed something that teams with good db’s might do to stop our O. Let them play man and pressure Cam heavily. It seemed pretty effective & disruptive. We did counter well with the run game. Am I reading too much into this? Thoughts?
Miami had 445 yards of offense. That’s still top 25 and we were one dimensional. Offense is fine.

The bigger concern for me, is someone clearly complained to the ACC offices about the pick routes we run to get open against man coverage and they are looking for it, and like we saw today will call it even when it's not a pick.
then fsu runs a pick route to score a garbage time td and they dont call a **** thing

Welp, if they run into the same situation down the road, they'll know what to do and how to do it. That was a fast and fizcul secondary.

Our offense was awful tonight. Wtf were we doing??. Holy **** Dawson, read a room and pound the ******* ball. Too many passes whiles they are playing 5 in the box. To top it off, we can’t pass pro. We are very lucky to be where we are.

Im only worried about post season play

I dont like how cam drops his eyes, he still has some struggles in structure.

Fairly obvious FSU's defensive game plan was to keep things in front of them in the secondary and put pressure on Ward. Kudos to them for making the Canes earn it.

On the positive side of things, the Canes showed that teams have to pick their poison with the Canes O because when the down field passing game was taken away, the Canes just ran it right down their throat. I heard in post game the Canes had 4 offensive series of 10+ plays. So, the Canes can beat you with the big play or grinding it out. Pretty **** impressive.

I'd love to say the Canes D finally showed a pulse, but that FSU O is so bad I think the local high school team could hold them under 20.

FSUs gameplan literally handed us 200 plus yards rushing they picked their poison and lost by 3 TDs. Your concerns aren't valid. Also the fact that Cam didn't try forcing balls and commit a bunch of turnovers is another big plus.
Be careful. This is too logical

And we still scored on 7/8 drives

TrumpyCane thinks it wasn’t even that close, we ran it down their throats

How many 3rd and shorts, 4th downs did we convert running right at them?
