Looks like we have a chance w/ Sandland & Bond.

I'd love to get Sam Irwin-Hall.

Bradley & Hooks seem like reaches.

What do you hear Peter? Nothing on the 'net re our next punter. Wassup?

Can Al get a commitment on Thursday w/ Bonds? Is Hooks ship dead-in-the-water?

Sandland-toss up between Miami and Arizona State

Bond-would be shocked of he's not at Miami

Hooks-that ship has sailed

Sam Irwin-Hill: I really don't know anything about him in particular, but I would still be surprised if we took a punter in this class

Did we ever get any insight on how Hooks dropped Miami seemingly out of nowhere?

I don't understand with these DT prospects why they wouldn't wantto come in and start at MIAMI... AG said he I looking fo someone ready and not have to come in an add weight or be in the weight room.. he needs them already strong.... that sounds like a sweet deal to me... smh at these dummies... they want to go to teams that are loaded with DT's upperclassmen at that... I just dont get it...

Our DT recruiting has been a complete fail, thus far and Im convinced it has more to do with the DC than anything! This has to be a point of emphasis in the next 3 recruiting cycles regardless of what happens to this class. We have to go after ALL the big fish. All the boys that the SEC want

Next Wednesday is only for those who enroll in January.

So no Bond or Hill

Freshmen, right outta the Senior Prom, are NOT READY to play D-1 football with the 21-22 year old big boys! Yeas, perhaps 1 out of 30 can hold his own, but few can dominate.

Offensive Skill position (RBs, QBs & WRs) guys can make an immediate impact in the right situation. But linemen (on both side) need size & strength the newbies just don't have (much less technique). It's even tough for a young DB, but not impossible.

I think we gotta hope for some major help in Swazey's UTough w/ what we got. Not even convinced that Kirkland or Bryant, Knighton, Kerr & Gall can offer IMMEDIATE help.

If what we have can improve 25% via UTough & experience, we should be okay with our offense. With a productive TE to gain short yards in the middle and someone to match James output we can eat up more clock.

Next Wednesday is only for JUCOs who are December grads and January enrollees at their school they sign with. not every JUCO graduates in December. Some don't graduate until May and would be NSD signees just like a HS kid.

Now MOST JUCOs fall into the Dec grad/Dec 19th signing day/January enrolling but not ALL.

Pretty sure he's talking about hooks who would contribute right away..

hey Peter-

with the revival of Hooks visiting this weekend think we have a legit shot here? like I know we have a shot since he is visiting but would you think we actually have a good/very good shot at landing him? early PT and his ability to make this defense a lot better along with our disgustingly potent offense could really make this team something special next year let alone his senior year. gotta be a lot for him to like and his draft stock could really elevate if he chooses to come here

based on seeing basically the same thing you guys have saw throughout their recruitment process im going to throw a pete like percentage on these cats...

IMO

Sandland - 45% final prediction ASU
Hooks - 60% final prediction Miami
Bond - 50/50 final prediction - none
Irwin Hill - 5%
Bradley - 5%

If we get 1 out of any of these JUCO kids, i would consider the JUCO class for this year a success.

Most talented kid on that list is Sandland. Wish he would land here. Watching the sluggish...body catching duo of Walford and Cleveland is painful to the eye.

Sandland is a beast, i dont even know who he reminds me of. He is a monster tight end. Hooks is the more important player of them all but Sandland is the most talented, IMO.

I think we get Hooks, Bond, and The Sandman. And they are just part of a monster class for our future. Al is bout to turn this motha out
