I think they are referring to a group of recruits that Rumph was talking to months ago. Rumph said something about Bama and the quarterback happened to be in that group.

This happened so long ago I’d forgotten about it. I remember Rumph was speaking to a bunch of kids and started talking about how there’s nothing to do in Alabama and why would any recruit want to go there, which caused Sayin to roll his eyes. The insinuation being, that we care more about the nightlife than winning. They must be getting desperate if they’re bringing this back up.
