Saw this on FSU site - I think some of this has been alluded to here but this is pretty eye opening... Explains alot...

Not to mention 25 players from Jimbo's last 4 top 10 recruiting classes didn't qualify, Med DQ, or transfered without ever contributing anything on the field. That is 1 full recruiting class wasted. That doesn't even include the ones that remained here and hadn't panned out with their play on the field and the ones that did contribute leave early for the NFL. If Jimbo's last 4 classes were reranked, I doubt they would crack the top 15.

Sounds like Al Golden classes. Only he wasn’t in the top 15 to begin with.

This OP would have been much better received as part of Nole Tears, with the brief intro, "After years puffing their chests about dominating recruiting, now these ***aloons are crying about non-qualifiers and making excuses for that clown ***gert. Can't make this **** up."

A big part of recruiting is knowing who can actually get admitted into your school. That has cost us a lot of talented kids but I will say CMR has done a great job getting our commits cleared. For example, Jeff Thomas, Ford, Choc, Mullins, etc.

Who gives a ****

I'm all for it, I sympathize with ole vanilly willie. I say, give him 10 more years without any heat at the bare minimum to get more kids qualified into the academic juggernaut that is FSU

No pity at all... we had 21 in the class of 2012 alone out of 32... The only 5th year player from that class (Richts first year) was R. Jenkins, Lewis, and Isidora.
Follow that up with another 10 out of 17 in 2013. Only guys who were left in 2016 was Carter, Coley, Elder, Dobbard, Gall.

That give us a total of 8 4th and 5th year players on the team in 2016...

From the class of 2014 we had 20 out of 27 players still on the roster in 2016: Njoku, C. Thomas, Berrios, Herndon, Kaya, Vogel, McDermott, Darling, T. Harris, Rosier, Gray, Langham, D. Jackson, M. Smith, McCray, Owens, C. Jenkins, Mayes, Linder, Yearby. 8 of the 20 did not make it into their 4th year at the U.

22 players were signed in Golden's last class in 2015.
-7 left without really playing (Evan Shirreffs, Jamie Gordinier, Ryan Fines, James King, Henley, Loftus, Washington)

Here is the rest of the class:
Mark Walton
Jaquan Johnson
Bar Milo
Tyree St. Louis
Lawrence Cager
Kendric Norton
Charles Perry
Scott Patchan
Michael Jackson
Sheldrick Redwine
RJ McInotosh
Jahair Jones
Gerald Willis
Hayden Mahoney
Tyler Gauthier
Robert Knowles
