Omaha:
Stay around 10th Street in the Old Market. Lot's to see and do. It's in the heart of the downtown area. Same benefits as Lincoln but more local women as opposed to college aged females. They have some nice bars in the area as well.

Lincoln:
If you are booking the Hotel in Lincoln stay around O street between 9th and 16th that's where all the action is. Walking distance to the stadium and you will tailgate with some very hospitable fans. If you are young you will also enjoy being in that area for the nightlife.

Some nice hotels in that area would be Marriot, Embassy Suites, and the Holiday Inn.

Source: I spent my first two years in the Navy there. Age 17-19 I lived in Omaha. Me and the guys used to roll out to Lincoln like twice a month and just tear the town up. It's only like a 45 min drive from Omaha so it won't matter were you stay. I'd probably fly into Omaha and head straight for Lincoln though. Especially if your single.

Thank you for your service to our Country! God Bless!

Did you get tickets yet? Are you going thru HC for that? I have been looking myself already cause it's only a 5-6 hr drive from Minneapolis. I've been looking on stub hub for seats and have been seeing lower level (Miami side) between the 40's going for about $250 - $300 per seat. I was looking at just paying for the HC - but couldn't see if that would guarantee good seats.

Will see what is what with the HC

Nebraska fans are without a doubt the nicest I've met. After the Rose Bowl game they approached to actually apologize for not giving us a better game. Good folks.

If you are looking for directions to Omaha, [insert Jim Morris comment here].

*Jim Morris is the Miami baseball coach for those football only fans

If you're in Omaha and need a sports bar, DJs Dugout right by CenturyLink Arena is great, so many TVs, so many games on. Highly recommend.

I've booked my flight as well into Omaha on 9-20. Appreciate recommendations for good places to eat as I've never been.

Best I've ever encountered. Then compare the bottom feeding scum at OSU*... like England vs. Iraq.

I have orders to go there but issues with work might keep me from going. The only positive I saw with being in Nebraska was that the Canes were coming up there.
