South's No. 11 Offensive Guard, Cody Bowes, De-Commits From West Virginia - Football Recruiting - Scout
Product of Miami (Fla.) Southridge that's highlighted as the South's 11th-ranked offensive guard, has opted to take a step back and de-commit from the West Virginia Mountaineers, who welcomed him into the fold back in late June.
"I'm just getting interest from a lot of other schools right now," Bowes told Scout. "It was something I've been thinking about, but I've just been getting a lot of big interest lately, so I'm just seeing where it takes me.
"West Virginia is still definitely in my top five."
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Bowes continues to play the waiting game in regards to some business he had to take care of in the classroom, but says a trio of suitors, including West Virginia, are sitting comfortably on his official visit radar.
"I will know after I get my test scores back, I think this week or next week," Bowes said when asked about official visit dates. "Probably Louisville, Syracuse and West Virginia (will receive official visits)."
