I wonder what the official offer is. Something in writing? Is this a reaction/response to the tactic now employed by schools like UGA and Bama sending out mass offers with little to no substance behind them? Are these written offers a level of confirmation that they have a spot in the class?

They are not allowed to officially offer until the prospects senior year.. before this they were verbal offers through an intermediary like a coach
