Canes Fam - I have updated the Eligibility Chart.

The notable changes include several player additions and deletions. The deletions include Ricardo Williams, Robert Lockhart and Kamalu until further notice. The additions include punter Pat O'Donnell and the freshman now on campus Alex Gall, Artie Burns, Jamal Carter, Ray Lewis III and Jermaine Grace.

As we stand now we have 4 less than the maximum 85 scholarships allotted.

Thanks, O. Much improved roster overall. We're still thin on upper class talent with Morris, Hurns, Henderson and Linder on O, with Porter, Gaines and Green on D. Last year it was just James and McGee, though. And meanwhile, there are three strong classes in a row behind these guys. Talent at DT, LB depth and RB youth are the only major needs left to address.

Good stuff, thanks. Do you have any idea or thoughts as to where the Athletes will play? I also heard from an article that Lockley will most likely be going to Prep. Do you have any word on that as well. Apologies for all the questions.

DL make me **** pants if we get the injury bug

I actually like our DT's. Porter, Robinson, Pierre, and if we can get one more guy to step up, that's serviceable.

DE worries me a lot more. Chick is OK, but he's one guy. I'm not sold on Shayon Green. At least, we can't ask him to get us any pass rush.

Aside from him, Dye and Perry are JAG's, Hamilton is unproven, and AQM is a true frosh. Add to that, Kamalu may not enroll. Scary.

I would be guessing, as all three are candidates for both sides of the ball.
Corn Elder will likely start on the offensive side of the ball as a RB / Slot receiver but could also be a future cornerback.
RL III will most likely redshirt and contribute to the scout team where ever they need him; On O as a RB / Slot receiver and on D as a safety/nickelback.
Lockley is still not confirmed as qualified. Per a recent rivals article he is 60 points shy on the SAT and is awaiting the results of the ACT. He will attend Fork Union Military Academy if he can not obtain a qualifying score. He has the body size to contribute as a OLB on D at the next level but was mostly a RB and WR in Highschool. He is a good athlete and avg. 30 points a game in HS basketball.

my thoughts And questions:

1. D Line looks thin. A lot of names on the left portion of that chart. A lot of those names need to progress this and next year and not leave early.
2. O Line is stacked. Any RB who is shown that graphic and doesn't commit probably doesn't have the intelligence to get into UM anyways.
3. Need some K's. Boring?...yes. But you gotta have a decent kicking game.
4. 1 more class til it's entirely Golden's roster. (Finally de-shannon'd)
5. SIAP...has Griffin qualified yet?
6. I like our DB's...a lot.

I find it hard to believe the ACC did not grant Lewis a medical redshirt. Maybe in the fall, he will be listed as a RS FR on the official site. Perhaps someone who has media credentials can ask Golden about this situation.
