Fellow Canes - I have updated the Eligibility Chart. Notable changes include the addition of the EE 2013 recruits Sandland, Knighton, Odogwu and Figueroa. They are accounted for in the column "2013 RECRUITING CLASS". Also its is notable that Malcolm Lewis is listed as a sophomore on the official roster, but I expect him to be granted the medical redshirt. When/if he does I will update the chart accordingly.

At my count, we are currently a 79 scholarships including commits. The attrition figure indicates how many current roster members and commits need to leave the team to fulfill the number of scholarships either at 80 or 85. At this point it is negative, but this will surely change with signing day quickly approaching. Exciting times my friends!

If you have any suggestions or see any errors please let me know for future charts.

Go Canes!

Nice.

When you look at the roster like that (coupled with some of the expected '13 signees), one can easily pick out 5 or 6 current players who, if they have earned their degree, need to be asked to leave. Tough reality, but the truth.

Quick edit...we need a K and a P. Not **** positions...but they'll win you a tough road game when you need it. (@ USF '11)

Thx.

I am looking at Perry and Thompson but who knows. I am just going off the numbers at their respective positions (TE/DE/? & BB/QB).

As for the kickers, Matt Goudis was a highly ranked and coveted kid out of a highschool in California. He was committed to the UM of the North before switching to the U. Like many have repeated on this forum, Golden does not plan to take a kicker/punter in this class. We brought in this fall several walk on candidates to audition for the punter position against Goudis who will be the starting PK IMHO. The coaches will see how things shake out this spring and summer. Don't be surprised if they bring in a couple more walk on specialists to add to the competition. I am rooting for the kid and hope he pulls a Wieclaw.

Also amazing to see what we will be shedding next year (with the exception of Morris, Henderson, and Porter) the entire senior class are role players at best. It has been mentioned ad nauseum, but showing it graphically really drives the point home. It is incredible that we went 7-5 with only 5 or so difference makers in the Jr. and Sr. classes.

I think Taylor Gabois is RS Soph. Nevermind he went to prep school instead of JUCO.

To my knowledge we aren't recruiting a FB at the moment... So, if Hagens can't go, I wonder who would be the most likely player to fill that void.

On another note Ricardo Williams is the heaviest piece of dead weight on the roster with a scholly. D. Perry is a close second, but I've heard Dyron Dye may get another shot at Defensive End; therefore we may need him for depth if we don't want to burn most of Dobards freshman season on the bench.

Linder is our best OL....far from a role player...

Seriously? I would never have guessed that was being considered, especially since he was our starter in many games at TE, and is the best blocking TE we have.

p.s., Thank you O. Exceptional chart. I referred back to it probably 30-40 times over the course of the season.

I would be shocked if Dye wasn't at TE this year. He's our best blocking TE

I think Kerr will be in the same mold but with better hands.

I didn't realize Bunche would only be a junior next year. I feel like he's been outta high school for 7 years already.

He went to prep school and redshirted. That's nearly two years without wasting any eligibility. I hope Sonny follows suit if he needs it.

I might be wrong but I thought Ben Jones (#55) would be coming back with a Medical redshirt
He got hurt early in the season (NC State in September)

He could if he wanted to, but it would probably be at another school. I don't think Golden is bringing him back.
