Last August, when Brinson was committed to UM for the first time, he and Northwestern teammate Kahlil Brantley were working on convincing Garcia to join them in Miami’s class.

“Jake, in California right now, we talk a lot on the phone,” Brantley, a three-star tight end, told the South Florida Sun Sentinel then. “We just communicate, try to keep in touch.”

I mean we have a **** of a pitch right now. Brinson just committed, we got a lot of good offensive talent coming in, King is a one and done for us where as Slovis has at least two more years there, we have no other QBs recruited in this class and USC does. I’d be sweating a little if I were them

I posted on a recent N’kosi Perry thread that I thought (not that I want) N’kosi would be starter for 2021. I would like to take that back. I think he will be the back up this year, graduate, then use his last year of eligibility somewhere else. If Garcia commits to Miami, it’d be a QB battle between he and TVD (unless they went transfer route again).

A big factor in Garcia possibly coming here will be Florida being the first state to allow player payment for the 2021 season.... A lot of Top notch kids are gonna see Miami in a whole new light now.... Manny has to deliver this season... If he does - whole new ball game in Miami football...

Truth is, Garcia could end all of this chatter by simply stating that he's locked in with USC and won't take any visits. If he doesn't end all the speculation, then there's probably something there. Kinda reminds me of when the recruits went hard for Jarren Williams in 2018.

He was on Brinson's stream flirting with the idea of teaming up when Brinson committed.
Also, this second part is my exact thought.

Maybe he could tweet out that he's "1000% COMMITTED"

That works when Miami recruits do it.
