****, this is why, despite the many dynamics working in our favor, I remain scared as **** about what these imbeciles are capable of doing to us. Here you have a case where the easy and prudent thing would be for the NCAA to use it's discretion to interpret the guidelines liberally and come up with a ruling that is not only right but one that would not be damaging to itself in the court of public opinion in any way. Yet, despite issuing the ruling that would be universally accepted as fair by EVERYONE, the NCAA goes out of it's way to find the strictest, most literal interpretation of the rule that it can in order to lay down the most unyielding ruling possible. These idiots at the NCAA just don't give a fvck. Decency and common sense are completely lost on them..
