What i like about this staff is that they are Northeast guys...particularly Jersey guys...and those guys fit in well down here in Metro Miami...Its a TON of Northeast transplants add to it the state of NJ produces some pretty good prospects that have been productive from us.

This year we have signed the state of NJ's top 2 prospects in Muhammad and Olsen...thats HUGE going forward.

Yeah also I love the fact that we now have an in at Don Bosco. They are one of the top program's in the country every year.

Just made the same post in another thread.

Jersey has always been good to us (see: 2001 team) and these guys are blue chippers at key positions.

Also helps that Golden's from up there and has relationships from his time coaching at a lot of northeastern schools

next year Jersey has this 5 star CB called Jabril Peppers. We need to get on that boy.

Sure beats trying to get into Jacksonville, Detroit, and Memphis.

Sorry, until Al has Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire on lock down, I remain skeptical. We have yet to recruit one solid clipboard holder or equipment manager or really key waterboy from these hotbeds.

NJ? gtfoh. What does Jersey have to offer?

Ya....Duval is a COMPLETE waist of time.....its like not even considered fla to people from down here....i remember in high school when we went on our senior trip to disney as all sr.s do in fla....the Dade/Lauderdale boys were fighting all the Duval kids.

Detroit..WHY?....And lol at Memphis.....

We need to LIVE in New Jersey...and being in the acc....i dont see why we cant set up shop in the 757. Those kids remind me of so.fla kids the most....and we can steal one or two a year from that area that produces productive players.

the DC area is putting out a lot of ballers these days, and most of those kids leave the area. You'd be surprised at how many kids and their fathers and uncles root for the Canes, too.

Memphis actually produces talent but there's no point...between UT and Ole Miss and the SEC guys coming in.

Detroit and DC are two of the top cities for NFL talent, along with Miami.

Yup, and these DMV kids grew up watching Ray, Reed, Portis, Tana, and ST on TV every Sunday.

Top kids almost always leave the area because the closest big time football school (VT) is four hours away. Vernon Davis and Stefon Diggs are the only top guys I can think of who could've gone anywhere and stayed. Navarro Bowman, Derrick Williams, and Larry Johnson went to Penn State. Haden, Harvey, and Jelani Jenkins went to Florida. Benn and Vontae went to Illinois. Goldman and Darby to FSU. The list goes on. ****, the greatest player to ever come out of here is Jonathan Ogden and he went to UCLA. I have no doubt this staff will able to scoop top kids outta here.

I spent a few years bouncing between DC, Baltimore and Silver Spring, and there is a lot of love for the U up there.

Like you said, both the pro teams had multiple Canes legends. Also, the generation that grew up repping the Hoyas and the Canes are now these kids' parents.
