It's funny. You could argue it either way. The reigning top team amongst the big 3 tends to happen in cycles (UF usually has very short cycles though) in Florida.

Jimbo has owned the state since taking over for Bowden. He's 7-1 against Miami, and is 6-1 against UF (may be 7-1 with how UF looks). FSU still has a dominant defense. Can we say the same about UF? Blackman's improved game-by-game and by the end of the year, he may have his footing and feast on the gators.

Going back to Jimbo. He's won 3 ACC titles, 2 Orange Bowls and a national title in his 8 years as a HC. If you're going to get rid of him, who's better that you can get? It's clear that something's now going on in Tally. The staff isn't what it was and the depth is starting to slip over there. Having said that, Jimbo has also had the luxury of facing a Miami program that was largely dormant since taking over the FSU job and didn't have to deal with the type of Miami teams that his predecessor (Bowden) had to during his respective tenure. Now that he finally has a beast to deal with in the state again, how does he handle that going forward? Remember, Jimbo took over the FSU job right after Meyer left UF.

I get being disappointed about not having another NC, but who's better? Unless Satan is available, I'd ride with Jimbo and just make him fire some assistants.

Don't understand why fsu putting the U down last year than digging up the field warrants this

Noles dismissing the win because it's our best vs their worst teams in years with a freshman....pot meet kettle morons. They've feasted on us for a decade of being **** and nearly lost to Kaaya as a freshman and #2 in the country.

Exactly on the other end they'll be saying "our starter didn't even play and we still won" FOH

I agree. Unfortunately, it becomes a struggle where the HC may decide that he wants to hold onto said assistants. At no point could we get Golden to fire an assistant. Now think about how much of a strangle hold Jimbo has considering the clout he's built up there.

Well, given the Mark Walton news, he was practically a non-factor given his ankle injury. Guess that makes it even.

If it were almost any other team I'd almost feel bad for them. No not really, but it being fsu makes it extra enjoyable.

It’s been said that Jimbo has the same type of relationship with their DC. Their DC sucks! Hope he stays forever!

Yup. By that logic they might as well throw out the last 7 years previous to this one. Here's an example of the douchery...

Wait so those Al Golden/RS team weren't terrible? :monkey-serious:

When all those BS flags and plays don't go their way all of a sudden Miami sucks because we didn't blow them out? is that poRster new? What about when they barely beat us in 2014 when we had a true freshman QB and they had a playoff team and a Heisman trophy winner? or what about all those years they been barely winning playing against the wefense? LMFAO Denial. Thats the first step to delusion.

Can't wait to take that *** in Miami AGAIN.
