I thought the same thing initially. Somehow, On3 has him updated as a 5 star in their final rankings, which is based on other recruiting services rankings, so it makes no sense to me. He's a 4 star in all other recruiting sites/services (Rivals, ESPN, etc...). So, yes, FSU is clearly reaching here.

Yep. Verse had a 93 college rating coming out of Albany.

To have that rating, you’re either:

1. Already a superstar in college
2. A former 5* or borderline 5* not removed enough from high school to justify dropping your college ranking too low.

Verse wasn’t the second group. There’s only like 15 to 20 kids in the entire portal each year that have a higher than 93 college ranking. Cam Ward is only a 94 and he’s regarded as a top tier established college QB.

The idea that FSU “coached” him up is wrong.

Look, restaurants DO need guys to take out the trash from the kitchen.
