The defense plays with zero urgency, fire, enthusiasm whatsoever. They have no chip on their shoulder or edge to them at all. Attitude reflects leadership and there is no question that these players have lost all faith in our coaching staff. They go out there and go through the motions that is as far as they go as the results show. We need a Coach that will get in their face and have these softies playing with fear and more importantly pride. We also have yet to any emotion from our coaching staff on the sidelines which yet again is what off of our team feeds off of.

Agree the defense is garbage and really mean garbage. There is not one d1 player on this defense.any nfl they have lol
 
How could you believe in the staff after watching game film of our last 4 games? Of course the coaches are trying to brainwash the kids that it us "not executing"

Just got home from the game and was going to post the same. The defense should take their que from Mr Wheeler. 2 open field tackles on special teams and showed plenty of emotion/fire.....I have been a Hurricane for over 30 years and will continue to support and go to games...but I have no faith in this defense or DC. Nothing will change until the DC is replaced.

And who are supposed to be the "leaders" on defense? Randy's kids…...
 
It was obvious that the defensive players played with no urgency, pride or emotion. It seemed to me like they were just going through the motions. I could only conclude that there were no true leaders on that side of the ball. The ones that really invested in this program. The ones who get mad at each other when ******** up. Maybe players stopped believing in the coaches.
When the the stop responding the coaching staff then change of coaches is in order.

Hard to play with attitude when the entire defensive philosophy is based around hoping the other team stops itself from making a 1st down.

I feel bad for the current legit players on defense. Careers are being ruined.

The TEAM and staff has no urgency. The offense played the 2nd half like they were ahead by 3 scores.


It's almost like Golden is coach for life. :(

If you have any doubt that coaching matters, and believing in your coaches matters....look at USC after Kiffin. That team is night and day. It's clear to me the problems here go beyond scheme (although that sucks too). The players just aren't buying in to this **** defense. They don't care, and that's on the staff and what they are asking them to do.
 
I posted a thread earlier in the week about it but the OP is spot on. There is no leadership or PASSION on this side of the ball. It's like this defense goes on the field and expects to get their asses shredded every week.
