Nice pitching effort vs. Wake

Blake needs to make the call on Morris. Game has really past him by!! Sorry to say but it's true. Need to get Blake on the phone to Mobile and get Calvi from South Alabama. He was pitching coach at South Carolina under Tanner and hes having a phenomenal year with USA in his 2nd year there. Make the call and get the interview going!!!!!!!

Lopez had 4 RBI on 3 hits in the game Saturday. Huge, clutch 2 out, 2 RBI hit in 8th to give us 4-3 lead. Love this kid, think he's going to be pretty special in a couple of years. Nedeljkovic blew it in 9th after torrential downpour caused a bit of a delay.
Thompson and Kennedy each hit a HR today, but Salcines and Salas gave up 6 in the 8th. Fieger threw away a sac bunt which cost the team 3 runs.
Thompson had a really solid series this weekend, continues to get better and better at the plate and in the field.
Diaz was spectacular as usual and B-Rad was solid striking out 10, but not his normal sub 1.00 ERA self.
In order for us to miss the ACC tournament we would have to finish outside the top 8. Only way for that to happen would be we would have to get swept by GA Tech next week at home and Wake would have to sweep VA Tech in Blacksburg.
Could finish as high as 6th as we are 1 game behind VA Tech for 7th and 2 games behind GA Tech as they just walked off in bottom of the 10th against UNC. Imperative we win this next series and don't get stuck as the 8 seed, having to face UNC in our side of the pool, who is certainly the best team in the conference, and nation IMO.
Georgia Tech won the ACC tournament as an 8 seed last year against us as the 6 seed in the championship. Diaz and B-Rad give us a chance, just need some timely hits in playoff baseball.

Died when we lost 2 out of 3 to BC. Win the next 7 and I think we may have a chance.
Don't deserve to at all. Don't want to put the home fans what they went through last year.

The last regional site is gonna come down to Miss st., Miami, and South Alabama. If the Jags beat Troy 2/3 this weekend, they will secure a host regional. RPI top15 and Sun Belt title as 4th rated confernce. They will get it! No way the committee leaves them out. Their facilities have been greatly upgraded. Their park is nicer than some SEC ones. Love to see South Alabama, Miami, and Auburn all in the same regional. I live in Mobile and that would be great!
