As hyped as I am for this season, after today I can't help but drool over the roster Coach L has next season.

1 – Newton
2 – Muhammad, Brown
3 – Reed, Lawrence, Palmer
4 – Murphy, Huell
5 – Izundu, Miller

We really need to find a good PG as Brown isn't as much a distributor.
But with two free scholarships, I can't wait to see who Larranaga adds next.

Yea greed roster looks solid but on paper at least I actually think this years team is slightly more talented. Simply cuz of experience. Next years team will rely alittle more on younger guys and u just don't know what to expect from freshman ever

If only you all knew what you were talking about. If Murphy didn't transfer he would already be in the NBA, and Reed is one of the most well rounded players on our team. I'm not saying they both will leave or even make the NBA, I said they could leave.

I dont see murphy as a go pro early guy unless he over achieves this season and looks to get in to the second round. I do really like that it looks like we are starting to be able to not only recruit talent (without the money bag) but also still bring in transfer talent like coach L has been doing since he got here.

A poster with some common sense. 100% correct. I love Reed but doubt he is a NBA player, he definitely is not leaving after this year.

Not sure how I feel about Izundu as the starting center next year....would like to see us go small and have Huell and Murphy paired up together
Could also see Palmer starting at the 2. Never seen Muhammad play though. A Newton and Brown backcourt would be the most exciting.

I love Reed, but he's not going pro this year. As for Murphy, he's not starting ahead of ICU, therefore, he's not going pro early. It really drives me crazy when people have the whole team in the NBA. Last night against Utah, Laphonso Ellis predicted Tonye would be a 10 year NBA guy. As much as I admire Tonye for his development and hard, hard work, I don't see it. Tonye is not a rim protector, but Ellis was right that he can handle guard switches well. Even Sheldon McClellan will have a hard time making it in the League.

Tonye will be in an NBA camp, just as Kadji was, and what he does from there is up to him. He has the size and as much as he has improved, he's not an NBA scorer.

He doesnt need to be in nba tho. Maybe if he was guard but he has height and NBA always has guys who latch on as long as they can defend. He is mobile, active on defense, can get rebounds and can finish easy layups and clean up around rim. If a guy like Joel anthony can make it, why not him? Obviously it takes right situation but its possible
