What a GREAT game. Best sporting event I've ever seen live. The defense was lights out as were the 1/2 jerseys.

THIS was the game I've been waiting for! That mu****a Warren Sapp is the quickest DT I've ever seen.. Ferguson had SPEED....Black cleats...The AFROS...Carlos Jones...Players showing that raw emotion...taking off the helmets for some camera time...My boy Malcom X (Pearson)even showed out that night. Those were the days man!Props to Canefreak!

I always liked that '94 team. That starting D was pretty strong.

That DL of Kenard Lang/Warren Sapp/Pat Riley/Kenny Holmes was awesome. It's real unfortunate that Pat Riley had a career ending injury at the end of the year. I still think if Riley had been healthy for the OB, Miami would've held on and beat the Cornhusters even with the O struggling in that game.

It just sucks that the only good OL we had was KC Jones. That 94 OL was way below Miami standards. Erickson failure to recruit OL certainly caught up to us.

**** I miss the OB.

I also miss having a dominant DLine, and have studs from LA like Riley and Carlos Jones, or going into Texas for KC Jones and CJ Richardson; the latter was a story similar to one relayed by K9 not too long ago, a player who absolutely thrived on ST for 2-3 years and played very well when given the chance to step up, no pouting for PT or BS about transferring, just an impactful member of some very good squads.

On another note Frank Pasta and Chris T Jones were not my favorite guys. Frank because he wasn't Gino or Craig or Steve, not his fault and Jones because few have had bigger drops on bigger moments, he was the epitome of unclutch and fake swagger.

sapp was the last beast we had at dt....the ones before him was marryland, stubbs, jerome, and cortez...we havent seen anything like that since. Damione lewis was cool, william joseph was aight, and orien harris and baraka atkins was decent, but sapp was a man among boys....thats when our defense couldnt be seen...**** i miss those days

What a waste of talent James Stewart was. He could have been a faster Eddie George. DFerg was so nice...kinda gets forgotten tho.

I was at that game and that was the best performance I have ever seen by a DT, he was unblockable. Big Vince deserves to be on that list.

The CJ Richardson pick was huge, Miami was down 14-7 and reeling. The D looked tired and confused, and literally, that one play changed the whole game. From then on, it was Orange Bowl magic and mystique

Miami football will never be quite the same without the 'Grand Ol' Lady' of the 305

And yeah, as for Oline recruiting under ERRickson, not enough KC Jones', and waaaay too many Ricky Perry's and Jason Budroni's....
