If you needed any more proof how messed up ranking here...exhibit A:

Greg Bryant checks in at #14 in the nation

Alex Collins (whom many consider the better back) does not even make the list.

However, the most offensive and ridiculous thing I have ever seen in my life is USF commit Asiantii Woulard (#87) ranked ahead of God of War (#96). That there is down right blasphemy.

Look, I don't really care that much for 'national rankings'...moreso in state recruiting/evals. If you're looking for the best info on the latter, this site and probably shadows board are the best places to find it.

That Woulard ranking has to be a direct result of the Elite 11 camp.

And LMAO at Collins not on that list.

Why is it such a stretch? Didn't Woulard finish w/ the #1 ranking at Elite 11? And Olsen at 10? So how is it the most "offensive and ridiculous thing you have ever seen in your life" if a purportedly neutral group ranked Woulard ahead of Olsen?

Because its idiotic. Care for anymore in depth explanations?

This guy was also Elite 11.

Isn't Woulard a converted WR or something?

Gimme the guy with better production in actual games.

Woulard is basically a slightly more athletic Jacory Harris....and definitely that's a compliment for him. Who do you take between Woulard and God of War? How dare anyone even suggest such a question.

hater! Woulard is a G! He's bigger, stronger, faster, has a much more powerful arm and takes coaching much better then Jacory ever did! And he's nice humble kid. He's going to be very exciting to see in College

The worst thing from a USF perspective that could have happened to Woulard is him winning that competition. I highly doubt he sticks with USF now that some of the big boys come calling.

I understand what Valid is saying. Olsen is a proven talent and has gone up against serious competition whereas Woulard is now showing up on the scene. It's best not to read much into these rankings because it doesn't always reflect true as we well know.

That's deep. Thanks for the analysis. I guess I left my orange and green lenses at home.

Collins vs. Bryant should be interesting to watch this year.

Bryant is a hoss but Collins is going to put up video game numbers if he is healthy all year.

No I'm not hating on the kid...just an opinion and of course I could be and have been wrong on comparisons like this before (however I must note that Olsen has been destined for greatness, so I will be correct on that one). For example, I thought Travis Benjamin would be a bust in college and predicted that Deonte Thompson would have a better college career...LOL. I also thought that Brandon Harris would be best out of that 2008 trio of he, Jenkins, and Petersen....didn't quite work out that way.

Not really. Olsen should probably be ranked higher because he's the proven commodity but much of Woulard's ranking is potential. He has only played QB for one year but the kid has elite tools and according to most at the Elite 11 he was the best passer. He's done this having played QB for a few months. Obviously if you want a guy to play in the next year or two then you take Olsen easy. But if Woulard is able to sit and learn for two years the kid could be special.

yep. Had Akeem Jones been invited, I'm sure he would've showed out also.

I have noticed that a lot of the dual threat kids get overranked. Speaking from a college perspective, more times than not, the high ranking pro-style kid turns out to be a stud. Dual-threat kids are hit or miss. When they hit, they hit very well (Vick, Young, Tebow, Newton, RG3) but a lot of others turn out to be below average when it comes to being a QB because their athleticism can only take them so far. These sites see guys like the five I mentioned blow up and think the next generation of QB and they overrank kids accordingly.

Kids like Olsen just get put in the category of solid, doesn't make mistakes, good but not great arm, good mechanics. Those are all well in good but they aren't **** terms but the dual-threat kids get explosive, elite athlete, gun for an arm, ect. Olsen is a safe bet, the Woulard kid is a boom or bust type. Same for the Swoops kid who is committed to Texas. He looks good one moment and downright scary I don't think he can play QB at the next level bad a few plays later. No mechanics, just pure, raw athleticism.

When Collins switches to FSU then everyone will agree with the rankings.
