watching CFB Live and coaches have voted to streamline recruiting rulebook. Some of the new rules affect the following:
-Eliminates restrictions on numerical limitations & modes of recruiting communication, including lifting ban on text messages from coaches to recruits
-Allows support staff and administrative personnel to call recruits (currently only full-time staff are allowed)
-Allows all 10 full-time coaches to recruit simultaneously (currently only 7 can recruit at once)

Someone on here mentioned having Carroll/Cristobal/Coley as TE coaches. Well, when this new rule goes into effect, Carroll can be placed in an administrative role and recruit. Seems to bode well for our future.

All rules will affect the Class of 2014 and beyond.

Did Golden know these changes were coming into effect?

Is this why he has shifted his staff from teachers to recruiters?

I know the NCAA wants to put a rule where UM cant have more than 3 SFLA players a class. God i dislike them

Googles "Bring it gif"

Finds picture of Al Golden on first page.

Luginbill was saying how coaches will literally be on the phone at all times. I agree with him. It could get nuts, I doubt these rules last un-amended for longer than 2 years

yeah it seems to me that they need to worry less about streamlining and eliminating rules on texting, which will be amended, and start doing more forensic research involving basic family finances, including cars and houses. I'm looking at you $EC

something I found interesting, FoxNews is launching a new sports channel to try and compete with ESPN. I for one love this, it will force ESPN to be legitimate again. With legitimacy comes unbiased reporting, and with unbiased reporting, down goes the $EC.

/I can hope.

wait for the jilted lover texts from coaches

**** just gets it. I can't wait for this. You know some attention-***** of a 17 year old will be posting these to their twitter accounts. Imagine Virginia Tech's meltdown over Jawand Blue to umpteenth power.

Kids will like all the added attention they get, for about two days. Then getting bombarded with texts all day will get really old. I don't know how many of them do it, but if I were them and I could afford to do it, I'd have a "recruiting phone" with a number that coaches and Aziz's get, and a regular phone for everyone else.

Not crazy about the administrative and support staffs being able to recruit either. It would be one thing if it were just on campus, but all of a sudden 'Bama is going to have 1160 "secretaries" and 47 S&C coaches swarming all over the country.

Sucks for the recruits...

This

Should be limitation on texts and calls. Some of these coaches won't leave these kids alone. They will bug the living **** out of them.

As long as Golden and Co. aren't the ones going wild those guys will be good for UM. If the NCAA wanted to make it easier for coaches to contact players with more frequency across more platforms, they should have also thrown a bone to the players with a way to make it stop, i.e. an early signing period.
