New QB at Columbus that Peter mentioned

I'm telling you guys there's a lot of hype about him. MaxPreps named him a top 10 freshman in the country last year.

I like that kid from Wharton for 2014. Chase Litton I think his name is. Big QB, Monster arm, seems to be a great student of the game, and OU is already on him. They seem to know QBs. Kid is all about the 'Canes too. Seems like we are in line for a string of solid QBs the years to come.

Someone told me there are character concerns with Litton. I have to look into it more though

Litton got arrested for doing some bored, boneheaded teenager stuff.

Eh, kids are stupid some times. He doesn't seem like a bad egg from any of his interviews. Same thing with Coley, he seems very intelligent and well put together. I have a hard time believing he has grade and character issues.

Wharton High 16-year-old athletes Chase Litton and Rocky Enos, starters on the school's Class 8A playoff football team last fall, were arrested Wednesday afternoon on a series of felony burglary and theft charges stemming from an incident in late December.
Both were honorable mention picks on the Times' all-Hillsborough County team last season. Litton, a 6-foot-6 quarterback, also has been a starter on Wharton's basketball team, which faces Plant in Friday night's 8A, District 7 title game.
The pair faces charges ranging from misdemeanor petty theft to third-degree felony grand theft to burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, a second-degree felony. Enos was arrested at Wharton by the school resource officer; Litton was taken into custody via a court order.

That's a little more than just "one stupid mistake."

Sounds like they were messing around in an empty house...it's hard to really say what went on from the details there. Could of been a couple kids just messing around, or could be a legit burglary...big difference though.

I swear, out here in the bay area, we have Max Preps beat writers conducting Zygote testing. C'mon!! Freshman hype??? Kid's 3 years removed from elementary skool.

Is there any stopping what we all know will happen to this industry over the next several years???

Yes. boycott it. However, we are a bunch of people reading a recruiting board in early July. We are part of the problem haha.

Exactly. The charges stem from a single incident, not quite on Willie Williams level yet.

Okay, I guess people have a hard time with reading comprehension.

The pair faces charges ranging from misdemeanor petty theft to third-degree felony grand theft to burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, a second-degree felony. Enos was arrested at Wharton by the school resource officer; Litton was taken into custody via a court order.
According to a Tampa Police Department report, Litton and Enos are charged with burglarizing unlocked vehicles and breaking into a garage while driving around the Hunter's Green/Heritage Isles area during the pre-dawn hours of Dec. 30.
They're accused of stealing some coins and a basketball from one unlocked vehicle, at least three sets of golf clubs, and some electronic devices. In subsequent interviews with both students and their families, they admitted to trying to pawn the golf clubs.
"We're trying to get through this together, just one day at a time," said Litton's older brother, Josh, serving as a family spokesman. "We knew (exposure from the arrest) was coming. We did our best to brace ourselves for all of it."
Reached Thursday afternoon, Enos' parents said Rocky cooperated with detectives, and subsequently apologized to his teammates, coaches and community.

Hard time with reading comprehension? There is more information in the paragraph you just posted....thanks. Btw, it does look like it was just one evening of kids being retards. Not like the kid is a career criminal mastermind.
