Total defense - 118th
3rd down conversion - 94th
4th down conversion - 55th
1st down defense - 117th
passing defense - 91
passing efficiency - 103rd
red zone defense - 86th
rushing defense - 116th
Scoring defense - 101
tackle for loss - 105th
sacks -102

There is not a single category that UM is ranked high on defense.


Morris is doing very well despite all the criticism from UM fans. He is doing this without a great receiving core.

Passing yards per game - 12th

passing efficiency rating 131.37

3rd to 1st D. Every 3rd down will result in a first down

Morris's efficiency numbers are not something to tout. He is in the bottom half of the country in efficiency. The last thing I'd call Morris is efficient.
 
Morris can't be efficient when the receivers can't catch the ball, Dorsett is a perfect example of that.
