A couple of the reporters in interviews yesterday mentioned a rule change in regard to meals. Does anyone know the specifics? Mattyjorts was crying about it on twitter so I wanted to know more about the accommodations for our athletes. He said he was disappointed that we didn't take advantage of the change.

Yes now the school can provide unlimited meals 24/7 to revenue sports teams. UM is building a $3 million training table.

Before UM could provide 3 meals and 2 snacks a day during the week and 2 meals a day on the weekend. So late at night the players were on their own, where as now they will have nutritious meals available 24 hrs a day.

Filet and lobster for the black shirts.

Actually that was a complaint for years that players at other FBS schools had steaks on their meal plan while UM had the regular student cafeteria food. Improving the football teams meal plan was one of the first things Golden fought for when he arrived at Miami.
